Taking back the complaint!

I honestly only believe Urmi took back the complaint because of her son, Shaurya. It was really difficult for her to choose between her son and getting justice for herself. If only that annoying woman, her MOTHER IN LAW, did not tell Shaurya all that stuff about Samrat and what the police will do to him, I honestly think Urmi would not be in the position to take back her complaint. But I'm enjoying this show regardless and I believe Urmi will get justice in the end.

I haven't watched the full episode so I don't know what Shashi told Shaurya or what emotional blackmailing/manipulation she's done so I can't comment on that.
What I do want to comment on is Urmi taking the complaint back. After what Samrat did and his attitude in the household after coming home - Urmi should have known better. I can see how the family pressures were building up - mainly Shashi and her father and granny. I know its a lot easier for us to sit and comment when we aren't in that situation but the only thing I can think of is - she had her father in law openly supporting her and Tauji on her side (his game is a mystery but thats a separate discussion) so she shouldn't have taken her complaint back.
If anything when Shashi was yelling at her - she should have given it back to Shashi by saying - this whole mess is your fault - had you raised your son right he wouldn't be like this and if you bother me any more - I'll send you to your son in jail - don't mess with me. To her father she should have said - i'm married now - you wanted me to marry this brute - you sent me back here knowing that he's capable of hitting me - i listened to you once but i'm not listening to you again. I'd rather not have a father like you who can't do his fatherly duties of caring and protecting their child - be dead for me see if I care.
As far as the impressionable child - Shaurya - all she had to say is see what your father did to me. This is wrong - every wrong action is punished. Do not grow up like your father.
I really don't get what the creatives are trying to show - if Urmi managed to stand up for herself for a change - why back down?! Samrat deserves way more than a night in jail - he deserved to be beaten black and blue.

That's reality for some women. Even if they do stand up against their family members they usually have to accept their husband for the sake of their children; as a single mother is usually frowned upon in society..:(

Even though I wish she did not take back the complaint, I loved the way she threatened him in the room when he grabbed on to her hand and was threatening her. He had to let go her hand, because even though she spoke softly he could tell she was dead serious.

Maybe slow suffering punishment is what Samrat needs, instead of a quick punishment. I loved what the police made me do and how he spoke to him. Right now Samrat feels like dirt, and I want him to suffer for life.
