People on this forum and otherwise who think this show is raising an important issue and giving a message appear to be very naive and need a reality check.

When did the Indian daily soaps think about giving a message? and this all-time-low and nonsensical show would be the last to even think about giving a message.

This show is nothing but a product of some highly disgusting, cheap, pathetic, twisted, maniacal, and filthy minds.

Lastly, ever since this show started, when have they shown 1 good thing or 1 single outcome coming out of any track.

Message, my foot.

So, viewers, stop fooling yourself.

i'd just say if you cannot see the show then change your channel

this show is one of the best shows airing nowdays
unlike same old love stories where hero heroine keep staring each other all time

this show delivers a social message and tells women to take stand against such actions..!

This show highlights two important issues in our society - domestic violence and illiteracy and I think the CVs will address and resolve these issues appropriately. if someone has problems with these issues then they shouldn't watch the show; there are plenty of other shows they can watch instead.

LOL, just because someone is commenting here does not mean they are watching the show.
A lot of us of course, know about this crap show because of the articles that are published on the front page of IF about the beating track and also by channel surfing.

So, coming to the so-called messages given by this show that some viewers on this forum claim.

Let's take the beating claim itself. The message given is that your husband beats you and then you file a complaint and then take it back under your family pressure and then things go back to square one. Brilliant message given by the show. and then the husband plots again.

Awesome writing.

No wonder. The quality of Indian shows never improve because majority of the Indian audience wants to see this crap and hence keeps getting doses and over-doses of crap.

I know it doesn't really deliver any kind of message but it opens the audience eyes to the reality... Yes this is what is exactly happening to women in some parts of the world. And under their family pressure they have to give up everything and not fight their own rights... It shows the truth... All the other serials show husband love romance... What's so cool about that... But this show shows us the truth...

I agree with you and I like the fact that here the wife took a quick action. But what I fail to accept is that in todays age the girl's father and her grandmother want her to forgive that beast because he is her husband! That is BS!! Now a days even a not so educated and not so well-off father doesn't tolerate when his daughter is tortured by her in-laws, then how come Urmi's father, who seems to be an educated man, is not even supporting her decision, let alone help her in some way. By showing this, the makers of the soap are giving out a wrong message to the people

Completely agree with the above. I think ZeeTV is making a mistake not showing him get punished! In all these soaps, wrongdoers just have to say "i'm sorry" and all is forgiven. They need to show him go to jail. Letting him go like this is ridiculous. If he were punished for the violent act he did, it would show people that there is a consequence for hurting someone and beating one's wife. Domestic violence is not okay at all. The way Zee showed it, he went to jail for like a day, and the family members convinced Urmi to get him out & accept a mere fake apology. This sends the wrong message to viewers. They need to show that domestic violence is wrong AND that the abuser will face a penalty. (Sorry for the rant - just annoyed at how the situation was handled in the show)
