As the red light on the top of OT's door light up, antara felt her heartbeat and breath stopped at that moment. She stood there dumb for almost ten to twelve mins looking at the door. What just happened all of a sudden, she didn't know. She desperately wanted to know about the angel. But like that?! What was going on with her?!! Feeling so tired and exhausted she moved near the bench and sat there keeping her worried eyes fixed on the door. Almost half an hour passed but no news from inside. Antara's worry rose again. Why it was taking so late? He was badly injured and she saw that. But it was not that much major injury which could be dangerous to take away his life. Rather than the bullet in his arms!! Did it went deeper?!! Antara felt she was not breathing. She dug her head in between her palms to hide her tears from public. Why didn't she understand earlier that Raghu was her angel?! Why?!! There were so many evidences in front of her and if she thought a little more, then it was not harder to understand. But she didn't even try to understand. Such a fool she was!! Tears trailed down her eyes. She remembered each and every moment they spend together from the very beginning. When they first met each other in between that chaos, how he was always caring to her even he was rude at first, then their friendship, each and every moment he had protected her from every danger. At last when she came to know that he was the angel then suddenly a storm came and massacred everything. Antara heard some approaching footsteps and looked up. She saw MM running towards her with worried face. She quickly brushed her tears and hold herself. "eee yeri.. kya huya bhai kidhar hain?!!" MM asked almost stopping her breath. "doctors ussey treat kar rahe hain macmach!!" Antara said indicating towards OT. At that moment a nurse came out. Antara and MM rushed towards her. "Nurse.. raghu kaisa hain?!! Woo thik too hain na??!! itni der kyun ho rahi hain?!!" Antara asked in a single breath. "Mam aap shant ho jaiye please. Hum dekh rahe hain?!" nurse said. "Abey kya dekh raha hain?! itna time kyun lag raha hain?" MM asked from side in frustration. Nurse didn't answer and lowered her gaze. "Please nurse, please tell everything clearly! I want to know and I promise no one from us will create any mess." Antara asked firmly. "Well mam.. actually goli unke inner muscles mein kafi deep chala gaya hain.. doc check kar rahe hain.. bhut sara khoon bahe gaya hain... iss liye woo log doubt kar rahe hain ki unke vain ya artery mein koi defect na huya ho... par uski chances kam hain... but sab se bari musibat yee hain ki unki pressure or breathing normal nahin ho rahe hain... iss liye operate kar ne mein difficulties ho rahe hain.." Nurse said in mechanic voice. Antara just continued to stare at her face dumbly. "Please mam cooperate with us. He will be well soon." Nurse said and went away. MM went at a side frustrated and punched on the wall. "wooo goli s**a apun ko kyun naii laagi... bhai ko kyun laga?" he said in frustration. Antara moved towards him and said slowly. "Machmach.. shant ho jaon... agar tum aise toot jaoge to kaise hoga?!!" Antara said. Machmach gave him a small smile of assurance and sat on the bench. Antara's eyes moved aimlessly. She saw the idol of ganesh ji at a distance. Slowly she moved towards bappa and stood at her front. Her swollen eyes were fixed to him. There was a ddeep determination in her eyes. "Aaap aisa nahin kar sakte!!" She said in firm voice. There was such a craziness in her eyes. "Aap mere angel ko mujhse nahin chinj sakte bhagwan ji... nahin chin sakte... main aap ko aisa karne nahin de sakti..." she said madly. "Humara ghar jal gaya... humein shrinagar chor ke iss anjaan sahar mein anna para.. humari sari khusiyan chin gayi humse.. fir achanak woo mere saam ne agya.. andhere mein ek umeed ki kiran ki tarah... aisa lagne laga tha ki humari sari khoyi huyi khusiyan wapas mil rahi hain... aur jab mujhe pata chala ki woo insaan koi aur nahin balki mera angel hain... tab aap ne aisa kyun kiya bhagwan ji... kyun ussey phir se mujh se chin na chahte hain?!" Antara asked with stammered voice while tears rolled down her eyes. "Aisa mat kijiye bhagwan ji... Uski jaan mat lijiye... Agar meri wajah se ussey kuch ho gaya too main bhi jee nahin paungi... Mujhe nahin pata kyun, par main uske wagar nahin jee sakti... Sach kahe rahi hoon.. nahin jee sakti main raghu ke bina!!" she bend down on her feet crying her heart out. Bhagwan ji just silently looked towards her state. The light of the OT went off. Antara heard the sound of door and antara looked behind. She saw doctor coming out from OT. MM and antara both rushed towards him. before they could say anything doctor smiled in assurance and said, "congratulation!! Operation successful raha... unke jaan ko ab koi khatra nahin..." he said. MM huffed in relief. Antara felt her life was again coming back to her. She breathed deeply and smiled. "Haan kuch major complications aa gaye the... par hum unhe overcome kar payein... Aur sab se bari baat... sayad unhe bhi thik hone ki bahut jaldi thi..." doctor said smiling. "Doctor kya hum ussey mil sakte hain?!!" Antara asked. "yeah sure!!"doctor said. They were about to move inside when they heard some approaching footstep and chaos. All of them looked behind. They were shocked when they saw a whole force of police was coming towards them with arms. They stood there startled. The officer who was at the front came near the doctor and said, "Kya raghunath naik issi hospital mein admit hain..." he asked.

Doc: Yes, unki operation abhi khatam huyi hain aur woo OT mein hain.

Inspec: Hum unhe arrest karne ayein hain..

Everyone was rooted to the spot as they heard the word.

Doc: arrest par kyun?!!

Inspec: unke khilap FIR darj kiya gaya hain...

Antara was still startled and couldn't understand from where the new problem came from?! She moved forward.

Antara: excuse me officer.. may I know that who has filed the case against raghu?

Inspec: Satya Naik... Son of Daya Naik

Antara(in shock): what?!!!

Inspec: yes, satya naik.. unhone ne raghunath naik ke khilap ye complain darj ki hain ki unhone unke collage ke sane humngama kiya aur unpe hamla bhi kiya.. so humein unhe arrest karna parega.

Antara: what the hell!! Main khud wahan thi insoector. Rghu ne kuch nahin kiya... balki woo saty atha jisne humpe hamla kiya...

Inspec: sorry mam. Humein unhe arrest karna parega...satya naik ne case file ki hain.. daya naik ka beta hain woo.. hum mazboor hain..

MM(angrily): ee yede... kya jahe raha hain...

Inspec: dekhiyeaap log police ke kaam mein rokh laga rahe hain aur ye kannon ke khilap hain..

Doc: sorry inspector par dekhiye... unka abhi operation huya hain iss halat mein aap unhe naahin le jaaa sakte..

Inspec: woo hoss mein aa gye hain?

Doc: jee!!..

Inspec: that means ki woo thik hain... humein andar jana hi hoga...

They didn't listen a single thing from them. They didn't mention that they were bribed and threatened by satya to arrest raghu as soon as possible. In front of antara's eyes, two police inspector pulled him out of OT. Antara's eyes fell on his winded arm at first. She gasped looking at the bandage. Her eyes slowly moved up to his face. Raghu was straightly looking at her worried hazels. He saw the anticipation and guilt in her eyes. Raghu smiled and blinked in assurance that everything was fine. Police took them away and till he was out of the hospital his eyes was continuously looking towards her. Antara stood there silently. "Abeey kya hain yee?!! Aise koi utha ke leke jate hain kya?!! Police hain yaa gunde.. S**a sab ke sab satya ka naukar hain!!!" MM said in frustration. "Machmach humein police station jana hoga... abhi!!..." antara said in a daze. "sahi kahe rahi hain tu yeri!! Chal!!" MM said. both of them rushed out of hospital.

Later in police station,

Machmach banged on the table almost making the officer shook. "abey s**a pure ek ghante se req kiye jaa raha hoon... kyun nahin milne de raha hain bhai se..." he asked. officer was so afraid, "dekhiye ap unse nahin mil sakte..." he said in stammering voice, "upar se order hain ki unse koi nahin mil sakta..." he said. "s**e upar se ya satya naik se?!!!" he asked in frustration. "machmach shant ho jaoo.." antara said from side. she moved towards inspector and said in pleading eyes, "please sir, bas ek baar milne dijiye... bas kuch min ke liye.. fir hum aap ko pareshan nahin karengey... Please sir... agar aaj main uss sey baat nahin kar payi too sayad bahut der ho jayegi..." tears rolled down her eyes as she said those words. Inspector looked at her for a while silently. "okk!!" he said taking a deep breath, "par bas kuch min ke liye... aur haan tum dono me se sirf koi ek unse mil sakta hain.." he finished."thank you sir!!" antara smiled widely. Inspector called the constable and ordered him.Antara moved towards MM. "yeri tu jaa ke mil le... mere se jyada abhi woo tujhse baat karna chahega!" MM said. "thanks!!" antara said gratefully and moved inside with constable.
