PART 8

Those horrifying scenes got replayed again...Antara running insanely...crying...screaming for help..suddenly Venkat appearing with lustful gaze...pulling Antara towards him...molesting her in a more harsher way...dragging her behind the bush...Venkat's evil grin before disappearing behind the bush...tearing of her clothes...painful moans,wheeze and whimpering...with one more heartaching scream,everything becoming dead silent...Venkat finally appearing,wearing his clothes and giving cunning smile while looking downwards.. Behind the bush...a bare...bleeding...lifeless Antara laid on the ground... His heart wrenched in pain and suddenly his eyes shot open.. Raghu who was panting and sweating profusely after having such a horrific nightmare... For the first time in his whole life he got scared...scared for her... He had fallen asleep while sitting on couch in the living room itself...

He wiped sweat with his wrist band while thinking about the nightmare...A chill ran down his spine thinking it could have been a reality,if he hadn't reached on time and saved her.He got up from the couch and went near the dinning table to have a glass of water...While drinking his eyes turned towards the room where she was sleeping...The door of the room was half open and lights were on ,so he thought of peeping in..He just wanted to be sure the she was fine.When he reached near the door,his heart skipped several beats and finally he gained some courage to open the door.. When he opened ,his eyes widened in shock on seeing the empty bed.He turned his head to other side and saw Rukhsana and Avastika sleeping on a different bed.There was no bathroom in this room and all the windows were tightly closed.He walked towards her bed when something hit his feet..He looked downwards and scrutinized the thing while bending down... Suddenly He choked when he saw blood spilled on the floor and in the center,there was a sharp knife too.He took the knife, saw fresh blood on it..blood was still falling on the floor, drop by drop.

He was confused at first...then he felt numb and within that numbness anger started flaring up.He got...went out of the room and switched on all the lights of the living room.He nearly shouted Machmach name...and Machmach got startled in his sleep..he came running to Raghu,thinking about sensing some danger.. Raghu in utter frustration gestured Machmach towards the girls room.With a confused look,Machmach went inside the girls room while Raghu rushed to upstairs in search of her.. Suddenly silent cottage house became all chaotic...Machmach became hell shocked after seeing knife covered with blood..Avastika and Rukhsana woke up from sleep on the arrival of Machmach in the room.Rukhsana gasped on seeing the empty bed and bloody knife and later letting out a big scream ... Raghu ran back downstairs on hearing the scream while Machmach,Rukhsana and Avastika too came out from the room. Machmach spoke..Bhai woh Ladki??? Rukhsana interuppted in between and asked...Kaha hai Antara...aur yeh khoon kaisa??? Suddenly cold wind ruffled Raghu's hair and there was a sound of moving wind chimes...He turned his head in that direction...

He went towards that side and saw a half opened door with a wind chime hanging in the center of upper part of the door...his gaze moved downwards and he gasped seeing the blood drops again on the floor which made a path of their own,trailing back to her room..He got confused and he was hell nervous for her...something was still missing that he was not able to find out...AND then it clicked in his mind and his head jerked up towards the door again...He opened the door completely...It was the main door of the cottage house and he noticed the blood drops outside too which trailed into the darkness...His body stiffened on anticipating her action...He was beyond furious now and in a stony tone he called Machmach...'chal' and Machmach understood what he had planned..He called pakiya and chotu along with other men and told them to search every Nook and corner until they don't find her...Raghu ran towards his car followed by Machmach...the duo went in one direction in search for her...in search of Antara.

After driving wildly for some time around the village,the speed of the car got decreased with each passing minute...then jerked...& finally stopped without making an effort to turn off the ignition...Raghu and Machmach gave confusing looks to each other...Raghu tried to start the car but it didn't..Irritation rising within, made him bang his fist on the steering and he groaned in anger...Machmach finally said..'Bhai tu rukh, mein dekhta hu kya kadbad hai'...while saying that he got down to check the car engine...In the meantime Raghu too got down as his restlessness consumed him more..When Raghu reached near Machmach to know the fault...Machmach spoke while trying to fix something..'Bhai lagta hai Carborator mein thoda locha hai'..On hearing that Raghu got more irritated and kicked hard on one of the tires... It was past 1 am midnight...n everything around Raghu seemed silent..He didn't know where on earth his car broke...All he could he feel was a peaceful breeze...and in the background he could hear was the sound of water waves which belonged to the only river nearby...Raghu was totally frustrated by not knowing where she was..and suddenly he heard what was unexpected...

A Scream...that froze him...a soul aching scream that made him go totally numb...He turned to that direction but couldn't see anything apart from big rocks which shined due to moonlight...At first he thought,he was hallucinating but the moment he heard that scream again...his whole body stiffened...he became furious and ran towards the same but at a faster pace...his speed got decreased when big rocks around him became a hurdle... He made his way out through them and finally shocking as well relieving view came in front of his eyes... Raghu was standing on the bank of river...it was hell beautiful out dere...the sound of river...shimmer of water waves due to moonlight...reflection of peaceful moon in the river...cool breeze ruffling his hair and finally HER.. He was relieved to see her there...and she looked too beautiful in her now changed white dress..her eyes were swollen..her loose hair curls tried to cover up her chest but failed..her lips looked still dry and pale...she was sitting on her knees...She screamed her lungs out 'PAPAA...' while clutching her dress tightly...MUJHE AAPKI BAHUT YAAD AATI HAI...!!!!

AAP MUJHE CHOD KE KYU CHALE GAYE PAPAAA...with that more tears started streaming down...she was crying very badly...Raghu lost his voice by watching her in that condition...His soul ached on seeing her so vulnerable...Today's incident shook Antara's soul and triggered the deepest buried emotions residing in her for the past 2 years...Antara Screamed again..'AGAR AAP MUJHE CHOD KAR NAHI JATE TOH SAYAD AAJ MERE SATH AISA NA HOTA'...'KYA GALTI HO GAYI THI MUJHSE'...'KYU AISA HO RAHA HAI'...She suddenly touched her chest portion where venkat had left his filthy finger marks and shouted...'GINN HO RAHI HAI APNE AAP SE MUJHE'...KAISE JEE PAOGI MEIN...Her facial expressions hardened and said...MUJH JAISI LADKIYON KE LIYE MAR JANA BEHTAR HAI...

With that her facial expressions hardened and she got up...she looked disoriented,drowsy and weak too...she tried to climb a rock nearby...after failing in first 3 or 4 attempts,she finally managed to climb it.. Raghu who was watching her, didn't understand her actions...He choked when he understood,what she was trying to do...Antara finally managed to stand on the big rock which was near to the river while loosing balance every now and then.. She lifted her arms sideways and closed her swollen eyes one last time... She wanted to feel the cold breeze caressing her for the last time before she took her life...yes,she was on a verge of comitting suicide after feeling hopeless in life...after the physical and emotional trauma she had been thru.. In the meantime Raghu came behind her near the rock on which she was standing...He was hell scared and angry too...he didn't know what were the chances of saving her life but he had an unknown feeling...telling him to take all the chances and risk his life too if required... And then She opened her eyes which were dark now,her whole feature got stiffened..now her face was full of determination to kill herself...to get drowned in the river ..

When she was about to Jump...someone shouted from behind..'TUM AISA KUCH NAHI KAROGI'...She got startled as well as shocked on hearing that...Hastily she tried to turn and see who was there behind her...but that movement made her slip from the rock and she fell... She couldn't make it to ground as his arms caught her...she opened her closely shut eyes and saw his face very near to her...His eyes were intently looking at her and she looked beyond beautiful...a divine beauty.. He came out of his trance when she wiggled vigorously in his arms...finally making her stand.. She looked at him questioningly...and then she noticed that she had reached the same point from where she started...Raghu felt her irritation...and finally broke the silence between the two and said..'Tu jo bhi soch rahi hai,vaisa kuch mein hone nahi duga'...She got miffed n hearing that and said..'kya chahte ho tum mujhse haa...tum to vahi ho na jisna uska Kh..kh..khoonnn'...she choked while saying that...yes,She did remember him...she knew he killed Venkat...deep down her heart she knew that whatever he did in Jungle was required...Monster's like Venkat didn't deserve to remain alive..

But still she didn't understand that why he was helping her...coming out of her random thoughts...she looked at him confusingly... then stiffened...and said feebly 'Tum bhi mujhe ek Khilona samjte ho na???...ki jab tak man kiya dil behla liya aur phir kisi sunsaan jungle mein phekh diya...She felt disgusted on re living those horrific memories again...Her teary eyes became Blank and harshly she removed her Dupatta...revealing her chest to him..She threw her veil on the ground and started tearing her clothes revealing more skin to him...While tearing She shouted at him..'YEHI CHAHTE HO NA TUM BHI...TOH LOH JO KARNA HAI TUM BHI KAR LOH...NIKAL LOH TUM BHI APNI HAWAS..' Raghu was dumbstruck...shocked...hurt...tear stricken on knowing her thoughts about him...It felt as if someone had ripped his heart out...He felt his head bursting in pain...It was for the first time Someone spoke to him like that..his whole body turned into stone...On getting no reaction from him, Antara tried to climb the rock again...when She felt her wrist being caught tightly...She screamed in pain and suddenly with a strong pull she bumped into his chest...

She flinched...and caught her breath on seeing the close proximity between them...He glared at her angrily while tightening his grip...and spoke in a stony cold voice..'SAB MARD EK JAISE NAHI HOTE HAI AUR NA HI EK JAISA SOCHTE HAI...SABKI NIYAT KHARAB NAHI HOTI AUR NA HI APNI HAWAS PURI KARNE KE LIYE EK BEKASOOR LADKI KO BACHATE HAI'...with that he got down...took her veil and wrapped it around her...He was hell furious but still he understood the emotional turmoil that she was going thru..His actions were hurting her more...she was not in a condition to understand anything now as she had already started feeling dizzy.She tried to catch her forehead...It was then Raghu's eyes fell on her hand making him gasp. He caught her hand and examined it carefully...the slit marks on her wrist made his heart bleed in more pain... It just meant one thing that the drowning was second way to kill herself as she failed in the first one.His heart sank and his eyes became moist...Due to dizziness,she lost her equilibrium...it was then Raghu hugged her more ardently...He jerked her and spoke furiously 'YEH KYA KIYA TUNE..HA !!! His grip became tighter and he snuggled more into her..By the time Machmach reached the spot along with pakiya and chotu... Machmach cleared his throat and spoke 'Bhai woh...'..before he could speak more Raghu cut him saying 'Machmach Ghadhi nikaal'...then looking at Antara's face his heart ached and spoke again 'Kahin der na ho jaye'

Machmach immediately obeyed his command...Raghu scooped her up and got inside the car but this time he sat on the back seat taking Antara on his lap and holding her protectively...Machmach got behind the wheels and pakiya sat beside him on the front seat...Machmach drove as fast as he could and he exactly knew what was their destination.. Raghu kept staring at her innocent face when unknowingly a lone tear escaped from his eyes and fell on her cheek..He wiped that tear with his thumb and started caressing her face...His face expressed millions of emotions which any words couldn't express.

After sometime Car came to a halt in front of the village dispensery..In the meantime Machmach had asked his other men to bring the Doctor so by the time Raghu reached carrying Antara,the village doctor had already arrived... Raghu placed Antara on the examination table and doctor told them to leave the room till she examined her.Rukhsana and Avastika also rushed to dispensery on hearing Antara's condition.Everyone was anxiously waiting outside the room when doctor came after thoroughly examining Antara for 10 mins.Rukhsana went near the doctor and asked her worriedly 'Ab kaisi hai woh??...Woh thek toh ho jayegi na???...The doctor spoke 'Uski halat thodi critical hai...Khoon kafi beh chuka hai...jis karn behosh ho gayi hai...usko blood transfusion ki sakt zarurat hai varna shock mein jane ke sath-sath uska heart failure bhi ho sakta hai'...Raghu got hell terrified on hearing that...He didn't want that horrific dream to come true in any sense...like seeing Antara totally Lifeless..He shrugged away those bad thoughts..Doctor spoke again 'Kya aap mein se koi inka blood group janta hai??...Rukhsana knew so spoke 'Antara ka blood group A1 NEGATIVE hai'...On hearing creases started forming at doctor's forehead...Raghu saw her facial expression and finally spoke 'Hum sabh khoon dene ko tayaar hai..aap transfusion ki tayaari kijiye...koi kami nahi rehni chahiye inke ilaaj mein'... Rukhsana asked doctor about the cause of worry...doctor said 'aap log samaj nahi rahe hai...A1 NEGATIVE bahut hi rare blood group hai aur bahut kam chances hote hai iske milne ke'...Raghu got angry and asked 'koi raasta toh hoga na'..doctor replied agar aap logo mein se kisi ka same blood group ho to'

And then Quiet murmurs were heard behind Raghu as some of his men were asking each other regarding their blood group...The good news was that everyone of them knew their blood group as it was quiet oftenly required due to the profession they were involved in and the bad news was that none of theirs matched with Antara's not even Rukhsana's or Avastika's.. Machmach hesitated for a while and then said to doctor..'Bhai ka O Negative hai aur mera AB POSITIVE.. Raghu became more restless on knowing that none matched to Antara.. Suddenly Doctor's eyes shot up and she asked Machmach to repeat again what he had said some seconds back ...Machmach repeated while frowning.. Doctor went near Raghu and asked him 'Kya tum khoon dena chahoge?...Raghu got surprised on hearing that Question and he fumbled...Ky...kya mein??..par kaise...mera blood group toh...??? On his question,Doctor smiled and told him that...He could donate blood to any group as He was a Universal Donor...the only thing he needed to get done was Cross matching of their blood before starting the transfusion...He happily agreed for that and thanked Bappa for finding a way to save Antara's life... With Bappa's grace Blood cross matched with Antara's and Raghu got relieved when the blood transfusion started.Everybody got happy knowing that it was Raghu again who was saving Antara's life for the second time.. 4 hrs was the duration of transfusion and during the whole time Raghu kept staring at Antara even though it was unbearable for him to see her like that...

After the transfusion got finished,Antara was sedated to numb the pain on her wrist..The vital signs of her had returned to normal and even her breathing had normalised... Raghu scooped Antara again and returned to the cottage house and placed her on a soft bed..He caressed her beauty with his eyes and then left her room making his way out towards the balcony...finally leaning on one of the pillars and started thinking about Antara and her now bandaged wrist...

Raghu pressed his root of the Nose to suppress anger..Somewhere he had anticipated such horrific act from antara in reaction to the trauma she was going through..His heart wrenched seeing her so much in pain..He had an unknown urge to hold her in his arms when big drops of tears were making their way out through those beautiful hazel eyes.Suddenly his Phone vibrated making him come out of the trance..
He picked up the call and spoke..'Haa Raju...bol kya baat hai'

From the other side Raju spoke in a worried tone...'Bhau kuch pata chala hai'

Raghu asked 'kya'

Raju-'Bhau... khabron ka bazaar garam hai ki Tune Venkat ko mara hai...aur vo bhi kisi chokri ko bachane ke chakkar mein..Sunne mein yeh bhi aaya hai ki Venkat ka bhai bahut Tilmila gaya hai iss khabar se aur usne us chokri ko marne ke liye ek khoonkhar aatankwadi ko supari de dali hai...aur tujhe marne ke liye vo khud hi aayega taki uska badla pura ho sake...Accha Bhau mein phone rakhta hu...lagta hai koi aa raha hai' and the phone went dead...

For one second Raghu felt totally numb and the very next second anger flared up...he clenched his fists...his jaw tightened...he growled in the darkness while banging his fist on the pillar...
Immediately he went inside the house towards the room where she was lying on the bed with a tormented look..

He sat on edge and kept gazing at her..suddenly his dark eyes started turning softer...he cupped her face and whispered..'Tujhe kuch nahi hoga jab tak apun zinda hai'...with that he leaned more and placed a soft kiss on her forehead...making her lips part...

And the new dawn was about to arrive...bringing in everything new with it...!!!!
