What a cheap article. Whatever caused the failure of Do Dil Ek Jaan, it sure wasn't lack of the lead pair's chemistry. They had chemistry since the Promo shooting. It's more like the show repeatedly failed in being what it initially promised to be, therefore its actors have gradually fled from it. Except those few, who were making it worse. Especially Akshay Dogra seems overkeen on playing his stupid psychopatic character, but people are tired to watch.
What is even more bizarre is the decision on making the 21 year time leap. Does anyone know what year is Do Dil Ek Jaan supposed to be in, now? Is it 2034? That would be science-fiction. The visuality sure doesn't look like that. This team obviously has neither the creativity nor the budget for shooting the future:D Or are they trying to say now, that Rantara was actually set in the nineties, except they all magically already had cell phones, LOL. Well, to me it looks the heads didn't even think of this aspect at all. Still, the budget seems to be a key problem here. Everyone try to look the first DDEJ promos and remember. This show was supposed to be action filled and epic, ended being cheap and static. If you can't shoot such a story on a daytime telly basis, then next time better make a movie..
