Kanwar Dhillon and Shritama Mukherjee will play the new lead couple in the show

In what looks like a final attempt to revive its dipping ratings,telly show Do Dil... Ek Jaan is all set to take a generation leap of 22 years.
After the leap,the original lead couple Antara and Raghu,played by Nikita Sharma and Ayaz Ahmed will make way for Kanwar Dhillon and Shritama Mukherjee.
Kanwar,last seen in Na Bole Tum... Na Maine Kuch Kaha Season 2,will play Raghu and Antaras son Vidhaan,while Shritama will play Vedika,Satyas daughter.
Buzz is that the time-leap has been prompted by the shows poor run.A major contributing factor is that Ayaz and Nikita have failed to recreate the magic of their alleged real-life chemistry.
Says a source,The team tried every trick in the trade to revive the ratings.They even shot a lip-lock between Ayaz and Nikita.Though the sequence didnt make the cut,even the buzz it created couldnt help the ratings.Now,the show has been given a second lease of life and the team is hoping that the new lead pair will click with the audience. Kanwar confirmed the news,It's a huge responsibility as I have been chosen to play the new lead and help improve the ratings of the show.The show,which had a promising start,failed to sustain its ratings later.They are hoping that the generation leap will infuse a new life into it.

Mr. Kanwar whats so surprising to u... u will get the surprise when ur episode airs on TV.. abhi jitna udhna hai udh lo... aur tuh jo dekhaney ki baat kar raha hai na... tera yeh serial doob janey key baad in Feb.. tu bhi dekhney layak hi nahi rahega..

and according to the acticle they are blaming NIYAZ for getting low trps.. jerkss why dont u accept it that ur story was so lousy that it sank... itna gali aa raha hai na muh may... #$&*(())$$%^^^. NIYAZ U NEED TO GIVE UR REPLY TO THIS ARTICLE - ITS FOR UR FANS..

guys u know what i have thought that even after leaving this forum ... we should bash this guys performance after every episode comparing him with our NIYAZ... he has taken punga with NIYAZ fans we shouldnt leave him.. what say.. facebook par jab iska new page banega na tab isko barabar sey dho dalengey ...

WOW! what a joke!!!!!!!!! It was Niyaz's chemistry that made me watch the show. It was the Creatives who ruined it. These guys have seriously lost it!

I understand how you are feeling..but I also think it would be useless to bash him. In acting profession, any publicity is good publicity, why increase his importance by bashing him. Even if it will be negative its gonna be helpful to him. Just my opinion yaar. Gussa toh mujhey ph/cvs par hai. They have the audacity to speak now but never spoke anything when Niyaz fans were begging them to get Niyaz back. Just awful.

I didnt expect this from NF - major contributing factor is that Ayaz and Nikita have failed to recreate the magic of their alleged real-life chemistry.

u know what NIYAZ should reply to them. they have worked so hard. why should they be mum when NF has decided to put the blame on them. we all know how lousy the storyline was which was the major reason for the trp drop. how do they justify the good trps before antu satu marriage..

its an insult to NIYAZ they did so much whenever the PH demanded.. they worked till late.. they went ahead of their comfort zone and did the LL and see what they got... and u still feel we should remain calm..

they killed such a nice story created by NIYAZ chemistry... even today when u see the chemistry between them in the last episode where Ayaz talks about how he will make Antara to fall in love with his hatred too.. u get a chill down ur spine.. and how can they write this.. jerkss..

I COMPLETELY AGREE. Seriously Niyaz do need to defend themselves. But why aren't they doing it? Why are they silent? AND you know what I think more and more articles now will come. I feel this is going to PROVOKE fans more. They want publicity for "NEW" "DDEJ" now...so obviously, Insult karkey FANS ki attention lengey. We need not stoop to their level though. They want FANS to get provoked and have discussions about their show and what not. I say lets not even give them that benefit. Sometimes SILENCE IS GOLDEN. Well, if NIYAZ still won't say anything then I think as FANS we should not say much either. Maybe just on twitter and only tweeting the creators. Not making POST NIYAZ DDEJ famous..meaning no hashtags like these #DDEJ on twitter. Only tweeting the NF, ST and AS. Why give them free publicity?
