ALL THAT GLITTERS IS NOT GOLD
DO NOT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER

i am very much inspired by the posts of @goodstorywins
jyoti i am a big fan of your analytical and logical posts as well as your episode analysis posts that u do almost daily so this post is dedicated 2 u jyoti
i dont exactly remember if it was u who said in a post that its very easy to manipulate and convince antara as well as to lead her astray and dm and hatya will take this advantage in the future . i want to share why i feel there is another inner angle to this .

when antara first met raghu he came jumping from the sly and broke the glass of the wind shield of the taxi and he was fighting very badly . next she saw raghu at her mamas house broken window pane and she thought that he had broke the pane though if i remember right it was shettys men who broke it . after that for a long time rantara continuosly fought and hated each other . she understood that he was uneducated and at that point in her opinion he was a gali ka gunda or a loafer nothing more than that . but we , the audience , know that even then he had a heart of gold as he was raghu bhai the god in the basti . he also had a tapori style of speaking . so antara never had a good impression of raghu initially

but as far as satya is concerned raghu had told her he is dms son . later antara knew he had studied in london and was there for 5 years so he was educated ( though figuratively ) then in the recent car ride they both shared a similar choice of poets . hatya even recited a poem for her . lastly he told her about his and raghus fight from childhood and also that he manipulated people around him and that he manipulated aji too. basically he had a very polished behaviour in front of her .

i feel here the cvs are trying to portray natural human psychology as we all feel that a person who is educated has a family background who can speak fluent english and is very polished and is successful in life ( in terms of career and job maybe )is a very good human being . but on the other hand a gali ka gunda who uses slangs or tapori language often . gives gali frequently and fights with people or resorts to physical violence at times we feel he is a hell of a person .
so basically i feel that the cvs want to portray that we shoud judge someone by his inner self rather than the exterior or outer self .

sorry for the long rant

Aww Jyo has a fan 😊 That's so sweet!
And yes, I agree with your post! This is the biggest irony in this show. Raghu, the street goon, uneducated and unsophisticated, is one of those people generally we are advised by the world around us, to stay away from, just because of their outer rough and unpolished demeanour. And Satya, the more sophisticated and supposedly educated guy from the affluent Naik family is one of those people none of us would have problems mixing with. However, when you know more closely, it is Raghu who has a heart of gold, it is him who manages to win our hearts, and it is him who manages to make Antara fall for himself.

Satya on the other hand now represents everything we hate. He is a creep, a stalker and a psycho, who we all can't even bear to see on the same frame as Antara.

That's what it makes this story an unusual love story too... The girl is in love with the street goon, and the villain here is the rich, educated guy from an affluent family. It's not often that we come across stories like that on Indian TV.
