I like the freshness in almost all characters... All of them have been through sth or the other in life and yet there is a softness in each character...
The most surprising bit in today's episode for me was Raghu telling Aaji his interactions with Antara, like a school kid narrating sth that happened at school... By God!!! itni masoomiyat from a goonda/mawali... And here aaji is cooking up what not in her mind and this banda is so oblivious ki how this could otherwise be perceived by a third person.. and then he just says good night and walks away... I liked it a lot..

RS ke diaogues ka kya kehna... Ab toh almost aadat ho chuki hai wrt this style of writing.. pehle MB and now this..

Hey thanks, Zoya...nice to see another MB fan here...lol

@bold: Lovely point!👏...Yes they've all been through harsh times but somewhere a core of softness remains...it's been nicely sketched in...and lol yeah Raghu is surprisingly innocent for a gunda😆...I guess he had a good leash on his life otherwise until Antara walked in and now he's all fumbling and awkward and has no idea what he is babbling to whom😆...

RS ke dialogues ke indeed kya kehne...lol I think this is the only PH that gives him such a free reign with coming up with crazy metaphors and one-liners...lol...that is why I enjoyed his work in MB so much...I literally watched MB for the writing and his dialogues...and even in this show that streak is continuing...they've put together a good team.

. When I read disappointment in forum, my expectation for episode were low. But that ONtment scene did it for me. The way Raghu sent that letter which landed on Noor Apa. and his dialogue for that instant...Their balcony scenes do remind me of NBT too...May be thats only other show where I saw silent communication
But that whole ointment and batman conversation Raghu one liners were awesome
specially...tube main toothpaste bharke laayi kya...

.tu kahan se aaya..batmaan hai kua...

LOL I guess everyone watches with different expectations...I didn't find anything disappointing in the epi other than the usual Rasika nonsense which I forwarded...otherwise there were many nice scenes b/w the other characters.

Yeah among the recent shows toh it's only been NBT that has had extensive terrace communication...but they did it on so many levels starting with Mohan-Nanhi...*sigh* No point going there now that they've destroyed it.

This is my second comment in this forum and again for greeting an old buddy from other forum with "Tum bhi"? 🤣

I haven't watched the epi yet but since u have written on it it's worth it ! 😳

Lol I am watching this one with JA ! These two are priority ones ;)
Ayaz- Nikita can improve a lot but still the Love Hate angle has this fatal attraction for me ! 😆
And main attention is given to RS ke awesome dialogues ! He never fails ! 😎 even Aaji ke dialogues are as good as Raghu ! Kaikayichaap pan masala lol ! Good for rassika ! 😆

OMG ! Does she tell Raghu "ungli neeche" 😲 I heard and I pause it and I'm like line suni hai ! 10 secs and I remembered epi one of NBT. 😳 😆

LOL hi Khush🤗

Haan main BHI yahaan...lol I've been watching it since the past few weeks...mera bhi aajkal it's just this and JA that I watch regularly😆

Yes, Ayaz-Nikita are raw and have scope for improvement...but that very rawness is bringing a kind of freshness to the cliched love-hate angle too...lol...yep the dialogues and the writing are the real stars...haha@ that kaikayichhap dialogue🤣...that one killed me too...seriously where does he think up such crazy metaphors?😆

Yeah she said "ungli neeche" to Raghu but then I've seen that in other shows before NBT as well😆...and in NBT toh they only showed it in the initial few epis...uske baad kabhi ungli wala scene aaya hi nahin😆

To me its not just the leads but also the other members of the cast who have also been doing a great job. I sincerely hope the makers do manage to retain this freshness n sweetness😊

Hey thanks so much😊

Yes the entire cast, especially the supporting cast of Aaji, Mamiji, Noor Aapa are doing very well.

I am a bit wary though cuz simplicity never has many takers...lol...the ratings are also low for the show these days so I dunno if they will suddenly throw simplicity out of the window and go for typical melodrama to get ratings...it's happened with any other show I've liked for its simplicity😆

@anu- 🤗 it was good to read your post and discuss on the forum after so so long.
By the way, I share your wariness about how long they will keep the simplicity intact because of past history with NBT and other shows and low ratings. But I thought this was top rated show on this channel at the moment, isn't it?

True, the writing is what is making it stand apart from its counterparts...
I don't think it's just the PH but the genre, setting and the target audiences are quite different from the usual soaps which gives RS the leeway to come up with such zany one-liners and I think Raghu, aaji and MM are doing good at delivering those lines.

With respect to the writing, I do feel that the writers are actually treading a mid-path between showing sth hatke and the usual 4-lionish types.. I mean, the pinning to the wall hamesha to bring out the angst is not always necessary. Dialogues hi kaafi hain to portray the aggression , and then there is this raghu blaming Antara for everything going wrong with Aaji is somewhat kinda annoying, personally for me it kinda becomes contrived and cluttery...

No, Mahadev is the top rated show on this channel, I believe...the ratings for DDEJ have been falling two weeks in a row now from what I read...so let's see how long that lasts😆

What I meant was that the writers of this show are people who've worked for 4Lions before...like that Gautam Hegde...but their work with this PH is different from the typical 4L stuff...despite the wall pinning and other cliches thrown in from time to time...so that is where I think the PH makes a difference vis a vis directives about how the storyline is shown.

Most of the other shows RS writes for are typical saas-bahu shows...so yes he first needs to be given quirky characters to write one-liners for...when he gets that, then he doesn't hold back...lol...yes Raghu and Aaji are doing justice to his lines too...MM too.

I wish they would cut back on the typical stuff too but then I guess that is how these shows run...I'm just thankful that it isn't to the mind numbing brainless level of a 4L show atleast.

If they are smart about this, they will draw out this initial phase of clashes b/w RA...which I think they are trying to do as of now even if the show seems slow in bits...but I wonder how long that will last if ratings pressures kick in and they feel under pressure to show the love story in full flow to get ratings.

Anu,
Maybe I should have never mentioned that I would reply once I get home since that never tends to happen. lol Anyway, I just loved the episode yesterday. The entire interaction between Raghu and Antara towards the begining was adorable to say the least. ONTMENT again a masterpeice lol. Now I want to talk about my most favorite part, which happened to be the one scene that I conveniently skipped earlier when I watched it at work. lol . It was the bit when she talks with Noor about how she is pulling his leg and had this mischeivous smile. It was soo good to see the Old Antara back even if it was for a brief moment. Just that scene alone put a huge grin on my face. It just goes to show that she puts up an act infront of Raghu. Maybe she is liking the attention and she just doesnt know it? I think Raghu is someone, whom she can vent to and she does it by yelling at him and taking her frustration off him. Recently, when she learned that he has a past and has his own turmoils that he is wanting to overcome.. it appeared as if she offered to be his punchinng bag. For a while she took all the crap from Raghu , but of course that wasnt going to last too long. Anyway cut to the chase, I love how these two can yell at each other but not be "THAT' mad at eachother. They seem to gather themselves and still be able to communicate!
Of course with the rest the batman line and little cute moments were adorable to watch! I wont say much as you have pretty much summed it up really well.
The simplicity of this show really does add on. Oh and you have no idea how happy I am with having a new cast... Saves this forum from some crazyyy fanwars...
