Okay first of all - so sorry for the late reply! I usually watch the show at night, just before I go to bed. π³ So don't have time afterwards to make a post, LOL.
First off , loved your reply yaar. awesome likhti hai tu. ππI loved your post! And like you said, the episode was just brilliant! I think after a long time, Jaan is the only show where I don't feel like I had to forward scenes! Even the scenes between Mamu and his wife and Noor, just makes up the storyline!Same here. For the first freakin time in two years just when I was boycotting every Hindi serial possible including this one , BAAM. Got hit right in the face and I am so glad that finally here is a serial after so long actually worth watching. πFirstly, like you said, the whole sauce thing made sense! I'm so glad he didn't wipe it off because it'll show the obvious attraction between them! Also , I am so glad that the wiping off didn't happen cause it would be typical , dekha hua and really predictable , and something that happens in every single show. I am so glad it was used to progress the story between them instead of developing a sudden moment which wouldn't make sense between them as the attraction hasn't been accepted by both within themselves yet.It gave a dialogue from Raghu instead that complemented his character as a gangster would exactly talk like that to prove his point especially on such issues where criminals have no sophistication , no sense of civility and speech so it was very much needed to show that. ππI mean, it's attraction but not attraction. Both are still insecure with each other, and that makes sense because they had arguments about xyz. Antara loves to jump into conclusions but then I just think she's innocent like that, and like Raghu said 'this is not your Kashmir' and seems like Antara is still somewhat living in that world despite what she thinks. And oh my god, I love Raghu's dialogue's! He's the most unromantic yet romantic hero ever! π€£ Wait, that doesn't even make sense, ahah. And the way he shouted at her name, when she accused him of touching her was just spot on!Antara used to be so chilled before her father's death and Raghu . I guess this reaching conclusions impulsively is the effect created by Raghu. ππ I love his dialogues as well. Amazing how Ayaz manages to keep the cold , i-don't-talk-much , reserved , action oriented when necessary criminal characteristics of Raghu despite dishing out such hillarious dialogues , keeping a straight face as if it is a normal way of talking. Hats off. πThe shout was of a man and the remark of the sauce was of a criminal - both of which was needed to cement the overall traits of what he is - a man first and yet the experience of being who he is and what he identifies himself in society as.I loved the awkwardness between them when he said why did she help him? And she's like now I feel like I shouldn't have helped you - just shows that whenever someone helps Raghu regardless, he will always help them back. HEYY! Just had a thought, I guess that's why he follows Dai Mai or whatever her name is π he was on the streets once upon a time, and it was her that adopted him so he has to follow that because she helped him! π³ And now Raghu when he falls in love with Antara is going to be stuck between his love, or the woman whom he respects? Which makes the whole promos make sense!Good point! Maybe Daimaa did help him when he was a homeless and helpless child for the reason whatever criminal activities she asked him and gang to do , he did it in his best capacity and thus became her right hand in everything. πTotally agree with Antara's voice modulation, Nikita needs to agree, I actually thought the scream was a little off. π€ AND THE FLYING DUPATTA.! Okay, normally I would cringe and be like 'please don't, please stay dupatta, you're not a kite' but I actually did like this. π It gave a complete parallel between the two houses and reminded me of Romeo and Juliet (WHICH reminds me, I need to make a similar post) - the dupatta is symbolical of their love, which goes from one house to another, ie Antara and Raghu - and like what happens in the actual story, their love is volatile, relating back to the first promos. I love the spatula scene! Antara wouldn't go to Raghu with it because that' against her characterisation but she gave Ishaan to do it! Which I thought was sooo sweet! She doesn't like Raghu but can't see him in pain because of the principles her dad gave her but yet she's still stubborn.Same here I mean I do not love simple sweet conventional love stories at all , but thank god Jaan is not conventional in its characters , story telling or writing in many ways . But otherwise , I am more of an intense insane , terribly tragic , dark love story type person. So falling for something as smooth , simple , aesthetic and moreover dupatta type scenes in Jaan is something surprising and new for me to like .But somehow for the first time , I actually liked such a scene. And the symbolism of the dupatta you gave made me think of the scene in a whole new way , amazing point there. ππLove this show!π€me too. π
