I've read everyone's comments, and found them really insightful 👏 They were helpful for me because I really have no clue what to make of this character :/ I started watching this show when Raghu and Shivani's marriage track was going on, and at the time, my only complaint against the character was that the acting felt ineffectual. Then the acting improved and the character sketch went a little haywire. After a point, I stopped expecting her to behave in a particular way, so I wasn't surprised by anything she said or did. I find her cute and sweet at times, and shrewish and very annoying at other times.

I think the CVs themselves haven't given Shivani a proper profile. The makers change her behaviour - and the pitch of her voice - according to their convenience to make the tracks cheerful or depressing, or simply, hard on the ears :P 😆 So she alternately behaves like Alice in Wonderful, Cinderella, Snow White and Lalita Pawar from old hindi movies :/

I am agree wid Awida di n Divya smwhere shivani character is justified jaswant is her real bro she dun know any truth wht is the real truth is n her yelling jst shows a nature of caring n loving sister as she thinks dat her bro has been changed even in real life no1 can bear anything against there siblings.

Both Raghu n Shivani are equally right in there place

Uma, even i fall in that category of ppl who like arhaan a lot but can never consider myself a fan on par with u guys. N i like mansi as much as i like arhaan. Yet i too feel shivani's dialogues hav become cheap n repeated. I hav said as much so many times. but i gotta admit, She is only shouting at him, I can't help but think wat I wud hav done if I realised that the one person that i trusted d most was cheating me, n then go onto dictate my brother's life.

For me shivani's anger is justified. All this is as much raghu's fault as it is shivani's. Yet I c few ppl pointing it out. Evn in this thread, until I had said it, no1 even mentiond it once.

I think d fans cmnt came out all wrong. The aim was just to say that it hurts so bad cos of loyalty. N I dnt want it any other way. That is wat I luv abt u guys.

i think their is a chance she is planning a surprise for them by acting in their favour for three months and then turn the plates as tit for tat

I know Raghu has made mistakes too. And like you said,Shivani's anger and pain is caused by the betrayal of someone she trusted. But hadn't she trusted and loved her brother too? They are siblings and grew up together. So wouldn't Jaswant's betrayal have been a lot more painful and hard to forget/forgive?Shivani may be right in giving her family a second chance, but how can she trust them SO blindly after that terrible betrayal :/Shouldn't she be taking their advice, statements and opinions with a pinch of salt. She has forgotten all their past misdeeds as easily as I forget the names of distant relatives :| 😆I find that very odd. Otherwise, I know her essential nature is very sweet :)

Well, like I said before, sum ppl jus like giving second chances, how much ever undeserving the other person is. N as big as jas's betrayal was, he faked repentance n askd for forgiveness. N she forgave him. I think she has never heard d phrase "forgiv bt do not forget" though. Or perhaps she thinks saying i can forgiv but not forget is another way of saying i wont forgiv. n neways, Friday's episode clearly showd that she expected raghu to repent his actions.
