Sandhya is an intelligent girl no doubt, but she needs to show some reaction when she got bashed for something she didn't do... and shouldn't take the blame and stay quite when she is getting blamed for someone else's faults...this is not a good example!!!

Meena, Mohit, Chhabi even now Emily are taking her for granted and walking all over her, and I blame her for these, because she gave them chances to walk all over her...again I'll say that accepting the blame for someone is not a role model of a Bahu...

Without showing disrespect for others she can stand up for the truth...and she is a very truthful girl, but when she is not revealing the lies of others, shows a contradiction of her truthfulness and side by side unwillingly she is allowing others to lie and staying quite about that.

This is fully my observation... you may agree or not!!!

i agree! we all have seen sandy has d ability to hide d truth and to even lie if she feels it serves d purpose, however this isnt any role model quality!

sandy wants to be an IPS officer, Excellent... but for that she must realise she CANNOT bend d rules n laws for her family members (as she has displayed few times already) n she also needs to be very head strong, decisive, very assertive, n stand her ground!

alas she dosnt quite match those necessary qualities!

agree with you NeelMon...but her silence in only for her family members...be it the terrorist attack/FB issue, she was so active to reveal the truth to the public...so can we just assume that she is doing it to maintain the peace in the family or she just likes to be in sacrifice mode to take the blame because of bhabo like the recent chavi exam, rat attack & LC fiasco...

she kept quiet for emily case because she did not want suraj to get hurt , if he knows the truth behind her dizziness on the day of exam, he would break down,

They need to show the emotional growth of Sandhya. I am sure the CVs will show this where Sandhya survives the emotional blackmail of the parivaar with Sooraj's support.

sandy hiding n taking blame of em was coz she found abt LC, she didnt wanna hurt him so she didnt tell anythg, but then again sandy has hidden alot of thgs from suraj til now! suraj is her husband n hiding thgs from him isnt good also how long will she hide?? eventually when suraj finds out he will be hurt what bhabo did, but he wil be even more hurt sandy knew everythg but still kept quiet! suraj may also feel sandy dsnt value him n his wishes coz sandy didnt give his wish of IPS priorty by allowin 2nd MP!

@kritaak Sandhya didnt know that it was Sooraj's dream to see her IPS before second MP. Till that point Sooraj was a husband who was supporting her dream , a dream her parents has seen for her. She had every right to break that dream as it was hers alone.

But what Sandhya didnt anticipate at 2nd MP was that along the journey of supporting her , somewhere along Sandhya becoming IPS became Sooraj's dream.

He tells her that only in ghat after 2nd MP, at that point 2nd MP was done and dusted with. Now Sandhya is clear that if she will become IPS it will be for him only.

If she gives in to emotional blackmail that result in 3rd MP , then we can say she gave importance to Bhabo over Sooraj.

wait, after 1st MP over chavi, when sandy left d house in anger, didnt suraj stress to her the importance of this dream?

ok forget that even, but suraj has literally gone out of his way to fight, cajole, persuade, push and support sandy every step of the way to pursue IPS, to any normal person when their spouse aggressively goes out of his way, it gives a message that their support is fully in this matter and it shows that this matter holds some degree of importance to them also!

furthermore, when 1st time suraj raised the IPS dream topic with sandy, he had given her full asurance that he is with her on this, n will do his all to ensure bhabo agrees to this! infact he took the promise not to consummate his marriage til her dream is fulfilled!

how many times sandy decided to forgo her dream, but each time suraj came back more aggressively n pushed sandy to go for it!

now please dont tell me sandy is too niave n gullible to not understand that her dream means smthg to suraj too!

Nice post and nice discussions going on. My take on the subject.

1. At least from now onwards Sandhya should be shown forcefully going after her dreams. This vacillation from her side gives an impression that she is not so sure she really wants to pursue her dreams. It may be due to familial pressures but Sandhya, henceforth should be shown to be equally passionate on the subject. The impression I have got till now is that first she was fulfilling her father's dream and now she is doing it for Suraj. What about her dreams...Does she really want to be an IPS. Indecision is a trait undesirable in an IPS officer.

2.Having decided on that course after all the matka dramas let her just pursue her dreams with full force without succumbing to the moral pressure from Bhabo's side or sacrificial pressure from Emily's side. Her husband is behind her let her just move forward.

3. During the fake Baba encounter I saw a forceful Sandhya who again changed in this track to appease Bhabo. An officer from the police force has to convince women to report domestic violence and if she tolerates it at home are we not emphasising the principle don't practise what you preach. All women who tolerate domestic violence do it due to familial pressure. Are we then saying everybody should tolerate or that everybody should report not Sandhya. Then we are entering a very dangerous territory. Does that mean different laws will apply to RP and different to rest of the country. Sandhya digressed one or two times to save her family. That should not happen. You should apply the same law to yourself that you apply to other citizens. It is wrong to tolerate domestic violence as much as it is wrong to do it. From now onwards Sandhya need not fight but for God's sake don't go into sacrificial mode to appease oppressors. You are emboldening them and making them stronger. You are perpetuating domestic violence by kowtowing to Bhabo Should a future police officer be seen doing that...
