The atmosphere in the Rathi house is tense and there is a general pall of gloom. Let us all build up a dream for an optimistic future. Let us give our wish list as to what we want to see in future. The CVs will not accept it as the script is already written and maybe enacted but atleast it will make us feel better and we will have something to munch till Bhabo melts.
1. Sandhya keeping everything bottled up inside her can lead her to depression. Whenever the pressure on earth builds up , we experience a volcanic eruption to release the pressure. Here again Sandhya should be shown talking to Ankita who is almost a mother to her. Ankita can push her to talk to Suraj about her apprehensions.
2. Enactment of any more dramas can make Bhabo even more suspicious so no more dramas please, as that will make her go in the opposite direction.
3. They can show , Suraj who till now has blind faith in his mother and believes in her ultimate goodness overhearing accidentally Sandhya being subtly threatened by Bhabo or Sandhya being thanked by Bhabo for keeping the Ghar ki laaj and Suraj putting two and two together to assess the situation, than he can be shown making a resolve.
4.Bhabo used emotional blackmail to get around Sandhya, Suraj should use the same trick in the book.Tough times call for tough measures. He has to point out the sacrifices he made for the family and how he could not study because of family circumstances but would like that privilege to be given to his wife. If he stands tall Bhabo will melt. Unless you appeal to her emotional side no warming up can be expected. I know you will all say Suraj is too good a person to talk about his contribution to the family. We all know that. It is only the Rathi family which has taken him for granted. Suraj as I said in my earlier post also has to be forceful not aggressive. He can start by saying that he did not want to bring up his contribution to the family but he has been left with no choice. He never once asked for anything for himself. Always did what others wanted him to do.In this instance for the first time, he really wants something for himself. Is it wrong? He can make an impassioned plea that after all that he has done for the family this is what he gets in return and the one wish he asked for is being ridiculed and sidelined and walks out of the room with tears in his eyes. Seeing her son broken hearted Bhabo will agree. No matter what manipulation she can think of, her son is her major weakness. She and Bhabasa will not be able to see Suraj in pain Bhabasa can be seen advising her that if she does not give in she will lose her son forever.In the papad incident Suraj did make her concede defeat. He can do it here. He should not allow Bhabo to emotionally manipulate him here he should do it before her.He should turn the tables on her.
5.No doubt Mohit, Chavvi and others will be taken aback by this aggressive stand of their Bhaiyya whom they did not think capable of fighting for anything but it will definitely make them think. They may not change but they will no longer take him for granted.
5.Suraj has tried appealing to her good sense that has not worked but only hardened her stand.The only recourse left is to hit under the belt where it will really pain .The guilt consciousness of having spoilt his childhood and depriving him the chance to get educated will weigh heavily on the shoulders of Bhabo and Bhabasa. Take advantage of that. If world is not fair to you you also need to be tough. I know I am being cruel by asking Suraj to hurt his old parents. Are they not being cruel to him? If Bhabo can play a psychological warfare to get to her son through her Beendani why not Suraj? Why morality is expected only from the younger generation.? You give respect, you get respect. Here he is not being disrespectful but only putting forward a view calmly , when all other avenues have failed. Bhabo has to understand' What you sow, so shall you reap'.
I know for sure they would have their own take on things but there is nothing wrong in our dreaming for a happy ending to the Great Rathi Drama. I also know that many of you may say that Suraj making the Rathi family aware of his sacrifices is not in his character. He will never do that .He is too good a person.He may not ,quite possible, but what is the harm in our advising him. He may reject our advise but we still as IF members have the democratic right to advise. Let us exercise that right to the fullest to make ourselves happy if not the Rathi family.
