Have you ever loved anyone?
Suraj sat in his shop and looked at the door that led him home and to his wife. He loved Sandhya and supported her through every hurdle he could possible but even today he felt like a stranger to her as she did to him. He switched on the radio and closed his eyes. He often spent the hours after closing like this in solace as though he was trying to find an answer from the music.
'Have you ever loved anyone?' The radio presenter asked and Suraj sunk deeper into his chair.
'Yes' Suraj replied to himself and sighed.
'But how do they know?' again the presenter on the radio asked.
'Well, I don't think I need to tell her at all times? I try my best for her to understand but I don't want her to think I am being to forceful and forcing my emotions onto her, plus what if she became upset?'
Suraj had always thought of ways to tell Sandhya that he was madly in love with her and it wasn't that he hadn't tried but his words never seemed to come out right. Bhabho or somebody else would interefere and he would be left with nothing but frustration.
'If you are in love then don't be afraid to tell them how you feel, you never know they may feel the same way.' the presenter said before Suraj got up and switched off the radio and looked around the shop for one last time to see everything was in a orderly manner for the next day.
'What if Sandhya did love me' he thought to himself.
He walked into the house and tried to be as quiet as possible as he walked to his bedroom trying not wake Sandhya who appeared to have dozed off with the light switch still on.
Sandhya lay asleep on the floor and her simplicity made her look beautiful. Suraj knelt down beside her and looked at her dreamy face. She stirred, a strand of hair was agiatating her gentle face. Slowly Suraj blew on her face to move the annoyance. A small smile appeared on her face, whilst she was still asleep.
Suraj smiled to himself, amazed at Sandhya beauty. She was the most beautiful woman, that he knew. She was honest, pure and he found her cute. She was incredible and he was proud that she was his wife...
'I love you Sandhya, and love doesn't need to be recripocated to be love.' The words slowly slipped from his tongue and he got up and adjusted his blankets to sleep on the floor on the other side of the bed.
