Very well Written Aarthi Di,
Dont have words left!

I must say I agreed with a lot of things in your post whether it was the silence or the colors.

Their confessions scene has to be the best till date!!
It looked sooo real!!! That silence kept your heart beating faster and faster. You could feel the passion.
In that scene you will see Reality! Never in my life did i think i would get to see a scene that would look so real. No background music!!! It doesnt happen in Real life either 😆
Now what other part of this that i enjoyed?? It had to be the tears!! Not only did you see tears in the eyes of Riddhima, but you saw tears rolling down Armaan's cheeks. The most touching scene, A man Crying, which does happen and no need to be ashamed of it! I mean what can i say??? It seems as if the scene creators were themselves in love!

To me what touched the most is Riddhima's simplicity. The way the she shys away brings the touch of a pure indian women. How is it whenever she looks away and slowly looks back into Armaan's eyes you feel the tingle in your stomach??

I feel sometimes that I am in the place of riddhima! I feel her emotions going thorough my body!

You would think being born in America and living there my whole life. I would not act like Riddhima does. No! not true at all, I think i would have reacted the same way she did, just because of my shyness,

You see from a playful Riddhima she goes to a romantic Riddhima! it would be just the right transition.

Take todays scene for instance, the kaajal scene! Now what would you call that??? reality or excellence of the writers.

I dont know these creators suprise me everytime and they always do the opposite of what i expect them to do! Maybe becuse i am sooo used to Ekta's Serials😆 or what

Okay i can write forever about my nonsense and my story but dont want to bore you all! I would just create my story right here! because I loove to talk😆 and write😆. Just want to tel you soo much more, but need a stopping point!!!😆
but i would love to say
Aarthi DI a very nice post! I could go on forever

😳 I loved how they used silence in the cardio scene...

It was an eerie kinda silence...Like we were supposed to hear their heartbeats, like Armaan wanted Ridz to feel 😳

The colour coordination is lovely in the wedding 👏 My fav ofcourse being AR...
I just loved it when AR walk in holding hands and flowers are thrown at them...Makes you think of an actual married couple walking through 😳 and their clothes and expressions only made the scene more amazing 😉 😃

Great post as usual Aarti. Can at the moment think of only adding that today with the scene between Shashank and sis Padma too there was a moment of silence which highlighted the moment they share and served to highlight the emotion there and the tear which slips from Ridhima's eye when she asks Armaan if he is upset! That was also very natural and well done. Otherwise great observation about the color coordinated outfits, noticed em today for the first time. The silence in the scene between Armaan and Ridhima was classic too. I dont know if it means much but twice Armaan reminded Ridzy of when she was indiscreet once when he goes to her room to apologize and she shows him the door and once when she pulls him into the stairwell to apologize. Both the times, he reminds her of how badly it will reflect on her, log kya sochenge. I liked that bit. I also liked the subtle hints of jealousy shown by Rahul at times where Muskaan is concerned. Remember the scene where she says mera hero and he says i am not your hero and she says who is referring to you?? that was also brought to my attention during a discussion with Sareeta. I dont know if is relevant but that was well done subtly too. Will add more when I can think of something.

The Colour is something Ive always noticed- having a budding passion for art, photography and subsequently colour too. Colour has played a major part in enchaning the youth factor of the show, the brightness of sanjeevani is exuberant to say the least- also- has anyone seen nurses wear bright pink??? hehe...

Will contribute more once tommorrow's exams over!
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa......

But yes, obviously, should i even bother...
Mindblowing post! 👏

Indeed Aarthi Di,

The directorial strength is what keeps DMG going and for that 👏 . Their play with colors, usually vibrant and bright ones gives off a nice optical mixing...not a mix of colors of course, but a blending of couples! I agree with you also with your silence point. Often silence speaks for itself...when the inexpressible need to be expressed, the mthod is silence! Those scenes have capture our attention far more than the ones with music, for our ears do need something new!

Only if the creatives had thought of being so creative with their dialogues!

@AArti - Lovely post, I too noticed that they were wearing the same dress, actually more than him, I realised she was wearing the same yellow dress and I thought that since that was her first date dress, I thought (the romantic in me actually thought) it would be lucky and they would patch up coupling with the fact they were going alone to Lonavla. But sigh, it was the most horrendous day!!

The silence, man it was the best, in fact I wished they had kept the microphone on even when there was no dialogue, just to hear the breathing and even the small sounds like the torch dropping, while moving any equipment, I would have liked it even more, it would have all seemed so real. But the silence was a real big thing compared to other serials I guess, so thumbs up for that!

The contrast in today's episode was so apparent, I actually could'nt enjoy the fun chasing scene, because I was already feeling low about the impending doom!!But the director did get across his point well,, too well 😉

Timing: I thing that tear drop in the confession scene is everyone's fav and I am no exception either

I will definitely add if there is more, I am already pondering on my fav scenes, to see if I missed anything new which I can add 😉

awesome post 👏 !
cannot think of anything else to add 😳 but i also thought the silence in the cardiac scene was very clever 😳
i dnt see many scenes (esp in hindi serials) that rely completely on the actors' ability to convey the powerful messages without saying anything 😳
hats off to the dmg creatives 👏 👏 👏 !

Missy belongs to the world of television and her insight is crucial to this post. till such a time, let it be known, that this post was originally meant to be joint effort and it will be so.

It isn't everyday that on Indian television we are treated to directorial nuances that make you scratch your head and wonder if you actually witnessed such an interesting, post-inspiring subtlety. The directors of DMG, whoever they maybe, (God bless their souls) seem to be well versed in their craft, leaving us, the viewers wishing fervently that they got adequate support from the Creative team of the show. A script that often swings from showing occasional flashes of brilliance to utter mundane and unimaginative tracks, it is indeed credible that the directors seem to add just that little dash of their special touch that makes us yearning for more. Here are some touches that touched a chord…

COLOURS: Perhaps the most obvious directorial touch has been the use of colours on the show so far. Colours seem to have a life of their own and narrate a tale that goes deeper than that of the script. Be it the initial co-ordination between outfits of the lead pair or the fact that more recently, every pair at Sapna's wedding wore each others' colours (Armaan and Riddhima in red, Atul and Anjali in peach, Shubhankar and Keerti in aqua, Shashank and Padma in mauve), colours are the key ingredients of parallel narrative. Interesting to note was the use of identical outfits for both the first ever date on the basketball court and the heart wrenching accusation scene pre-Lonavala. Sareeta, I will leave white out for the time you surface again and choose to write about colours separately. For now DMG is the canvas that the directors use to paint their imaginative pictures in vivid colours.

SILENCE: Much to my disappointment, a majority of the viewers found the silence in two very pertinent scenes too loud for them. Sorry for the paradox, but yes, they wished the scenes had been accompanied by background scores. However, the unadulterated rawness of the emotions both in the cardiac test scene and the confession was heightened by the silent background, as far as I was concerned. It takes a lot of courage and faith in one's directorial skills to attempt a scene in which you rely entirely on camera work and dialogue rendition. The awareness that even the slightest gasp or intake of breath is audible to the viewers is a gamble and needless to say, it paid off, brilliantly so. In a world of jarring music and people breaking into song at the slightest excuse, it was refreshing note the stress on the governing emotions at the moment. The pain of each protagonist clearly palpable through the weighing silence, the scenes did more than just entertain. They transported viewers into the rooms, an ethereal presence amongst those who were at the threshold of baring their deepest and most beautiful feelings to each other.

TIMING: A tear drop sipped, or a Tear drop rolling off the cheek at the most epiphanous moment of them all…timing does the trick. Very subtle touches that elevate what could have otherwise been a maudlin scene to new levels of artistic splendor. Not to mention the myriad propitious gusts of sudden wind and faltering steps that have provided for some treasured moments between the two, however cheesy they may be.

CONTRAST: Tonight's episode was particularly representative of this touch. A happy moment of childlike glee, two star struck lovers engaged in cat and mouse games of hide and seek, viewers obviously waiting for that moment of seek more than hide, beautifully contrasted with what might ruin the lovers' bliss. An anxious Muskaan waiting for her supposed boyfriend, the man who will deliver her from a plight she considers worse than anything else in this world. Alternate shots of the two sequences highlighted the undeniable connection between and the impending doom ahead. Be it frivolous and light hearted in nature (as we all hope), or of serious consequences, we were told quite intelligently that the fun will see its end in Muskaan's angst!

Several others that can be scoured…would you all care to help and look for touches that left you wondering????

Aarti...yet again a striker!!!

As always Iam a fan of ur posts...u make us look at things which we mite have unnoticed.well phrased and beautifully etched.

The contrast was a big hit, a realization which I never wanted to come up with.As I don't want that to happenn. And wow!! I never thought of she wearing black wld signify of her to mourn.

The colors...were noticed most of the times.and was brilliant today.Except that Ridz was over dressed for a sangeet.

Silence...Perfect,those scenes are breathtaking.

Timing...I loved the Tears of KSG at the confession & the one in the car scene, where ridz is trying to apologise.

The one thing which I wld love to add is the Track of atul & angie...they need to bring more to their characterization.
And cld we go beyond.."ArmaanPlzz" or "Armaan Chodo Mujhe".

Sad..but have to go soon..mite catch up later..renaaz is up.
