Propranolol!

ok so im taking a course called pharmacology, and its all about drugs and how they work in our body!

well a few weeks ago in class, we were talking about a certain class of drugs and i was a little bored as usual (the class is at 830 am! and i hate getting up early) i was ready to fall asleep when i hear my prof say Propranolol! i jolted up from my half asleep state (hehe and my friend sitting next to me jumped at seeing my reaction, it was quite funny) and right infront of me on the projector screen was Propranolol...and the first thing that came to my mind was, of course, DMG! I dont think i have ever payed such close attention in that class all semester then i did in that 10 mins we discussed Propranolol! It was very cool, i got to learn how it works, what it does, what its used for and etc.

The class has about 100 students in it, so im usually a bit cautious when i raise my hand to say something, but not this time! I raised my hand to tell my prof that propanolol is best used during a heart attack, but it can prove to be very dangerous in asthmatic patients. my prof was quite impressed with me! He stopped to explain to me why its bad to give a asthma paitent propanolol when they are having a heart attack! it was really cool, i learned a lot. and the class (especially my friend who thought i was losing my mind or something) were looking at me like i was a genious!

haha so i guess you do learn something useful form watching DMG! so a special thanks to the show, for making me look somewhat smart infront of my prof! 😆 well i just wanted to share my little episode with you guys!

well in dmg , the drug was propanol and on d bottle it was written propanolal .. which are compounds of carbon but ya , propanolol and propanolal do sound similar ..

propanolal is the uk spelling and
propanolol is the canadian way. the drug is pronounced propanolal tho.

Thats really goood Robin...so after all our Fva DMg does do some research ....I hope they do the same for the current track... 😕

in my class also teacher was telling about propanol in the lesson CARBON & COMPUNDS. It is produced when propane combines with alcohol. its chemical formula is C3H5OH.

haha well of course i didnt tell her i watched it on a hindi serial! she would laugh at me like no tmw! so i just let her think i knew what i was talking about!

hmm info tech? i think that would make a cool show! new IT graduates doing an intership at the top IT company, full of competition with a love story thrown in! i would watch it!
