Chapter 3

As visiting hours neared an end sid had to literally pull shilpa out of the room, convincing her it was time to go was probably the most hardest thing he had to do today and man did she put up a good fight, but sid was very happy to see the shilpa which he dearly missed resurfacing. Finaly saying goodbye to the dr. sid and shilpa started to make their way home and a familiar voice drifted into the air…..

'shilpa flowerji wat are you doin here?' 'I thought u left me forever…' jp and jiggy said running to shilpa and engulfing her in one of their bear hugs…. Laughing at jp and jiggy's antics shilpa slowly pulled herself way from them smiling and said 'how could I stay away from you guys for so long …I was beginning to really miss u guys so I decided to comebac' hearing her words both formed a small blush only to make sid and shilpa laugh more.

Sid then slowly put a hand on shilpa's back signaling her it was time to go but this wasn't un-noticed by our favourite duo who began to form ideas in their minds about this possible new relationship. Shilpa looked at sid and then turned bac to the guys and said 'well guys I need to get goin now, its pretty late but ill c u guys tomorrow ok….better get a good nights rest be4 starting work' stating this she turned and left with dr sid only to leave with a very confused duo of doctors.

….

The sun rose and poured its light into her room filling it with a strange glow which stirred shilpa from her sleep and then finally was pulled out of her deep slumber through a knock on the door, which slightly creaked open as shilpa said 'come in'…sid came into view with 2 cup of coffee which filled the room of a sweet aroma. Opening her eyes fulling she welcomed the cup to her and thanked sid for the cup. Sid sat at the end of the bed and slowly started to sip his coffee without answering and looked deep in thought which made shilpa put down her cup and call his name but he didn't answer till she gave him a slight poke at which he gave a startled look towards her.

'wats wrong sid? And don't u dare lie to me' sid gave a slight smile at her antics and said 'shilpa…im scared of wats gonna happen the hospital today..ull see armaan again with ridima and then its goin to start all over again the heart break, the pain…all of which I don't want anywhere near u…..i've gone through the pain and I still do till today its been a year but it hurts shilpa and I don't want you goin through it like I do'

Shilpa smiled at how much sid cared for her and her feelings sometimes she wonders if it would have been better if she fell in love with sid before armaan coz that way she would never have a her heart broken but she knew that sid can only ever be her friend never her lover coz that place was already given to someone else whether they wanted it or not……shilpa turned to sid, held his hand and said 'look sid one day or another ill have to face them and face reality and I don't want to be running away from my past anymore…..my dad accepted me, its only time before my family did too and these moments of happiness are more than enough for me to live with for the rest of my life'….sid slightly nodded and then said 'I hope wat you say is true shilpa…I really hope it is' saying that he took shilpa's empty cup and left to get ready for the hospital only to leave shilpa to say 'I hope its true to sid….'

The drive to the hospital was slow and daunting, streaming through mumbai's traffic shilpa remembered all the moments that she spent in this city, especially those spent with Armaan, forcing herself to forget her past shilpa stepped out of the car into the hospital followed by sid who was proving to her only form of support now…. They walked towards the nurses' counter to be greeted b y a very cheerful jp and jiggy after saying their hellos sid took shilpa to dr.keerthi's cabin.

'may we come in?' asked shilpa and sid together as they entered the office. Dr. keerthi turned around and like always went straight to business.

'dr. shilpa its great to have to back especially as our head of cardiology I see that you've really taken your practice seriously after leaving sanjeevani and achieved great heights. Dr. shilpa id like u to tun sanjeevani into mumbais most renowned cardiological hospital can you do that for me?' asked dr. keerthi

'Ofcourse dr ill do everything in my power all I need is yours and the hospital support in this' answered shilpa in full confidence…'then I guss u can get to work' said dr. keerthi with a smile..after giving her a nod shilpa and sid turned to leave when dr. keerthi called out to shilpa and said 'I really am glad to have to bac shilpa' shilpa gave her a smile and left with sid

As they walked to the counter to meet the cardiology department shilpa and sid where so engrossed in their conversation that they did not see the couple coming towards then laughing… before they knew they crashed into each other….

Sid caught shilpa and turned to the people in front of them only to see a very surprised couple standing in front of them… shilpa looked up at sid and saw confusion in his face ' sid are you ok????' she turned her head only to look into the most deepest blue eyes, those blue eyes which taunted her dreams and her reality... feeling a small jerk from sid she came bac to her consciousness and pulled her self together and looked up to the couple with a smile on her face and said 'hello dr. armaan, dr. riddima its great to see you again'…..
