I opt for #3 with a slight modification:

In the morning, R goes to Sid, who acts all shocked and hurt. He then makes it very impossible for R to redeem herself in his eyes. A gets obsessed, and keeps trying to tell R that he loves her too much to watch her demean herself by constantly begging for love and forgiveness. R blames A for doing this and putting her in this position and now hates him. A starts to hate S, and S hates both of them. S enjoys the mutual hatred, hence becomes evil. A gets too frustrated and devices a plan to kidnap R, hence becoming evil. R ... well she was always evil.

Meanwhile, Shilpa watches, and THANKS GOD she is NOT related to R ... finds out that she's actually nurse Stella's daughter, NOT nurse Padma's!! Ooooops!

So then she thanks God she's not related to an adulterous sister, a psycho albeit hot bro-in-law, and a pathetically depressed and obsessed hot guy ... so she leaves sanjeevani humming ... "Thank God, Dil Nahi Miley ... "

They're turning Sid into a negative character, aren't they ...???

Couldn't they have been SLIGHTLY creative about this?

You know, I don't really know what I want in this show any more ... it's that ... tasteless now.

I haven't watched during Ramadan, and had no desire to catch up. I have been visiting the forum, so I have an idea of what's been happening. And I do catch the precaps reguarly, so ... :)

or maybe I want too much. I want AR, I want Shilpa in the show, I want Sid in teh show ... I DON'T want adultery sullying the image of AR, the love we cherished and swooned over, and learned to relate to, or dream about. I DON'T want a heart broken Sid, and I don't want a heart broken Shilpa .. and I don't want anyone turning negative ... I guess I want a happy ending all around :) Impossible, I know, but what do we have creatives for then ...

BTW - I truly, truly, from the bottom of my heart hope they don't "show" AR doing it. Star One and Cinevistas (sp) will loose all respect from me ... not that it matters to them. But really.

Similarly, folks have been crying for intimacy on the Geet serial .. much as I love their jodi ... if they show anything too intimate ... right or wrong (I'm not being a moral police here), I will be shocked if Star One airs anyting too intimate.

I have always thought Star One was geared toward the younger crowd. As such, (I'm not talking about morals, and responsibility, and upholding values here - You have to be crazy to expect that from TV, you get that from your parents), they need to have some censorship standards. Not that I'm saying adults shouldn't, but there are teenagers watching this.

Secondly, implying adultery, by two leads who have been loved, cherished, and shown to be upholding cultural and moral values so far ... all I can think of is SubhanAllah ... this would be the same Ridzi who refused to hug him when he asked for it the first time coz she was shy. And the same Armaan who, when saw her dupatta slide off of her shoulder, looked away .. (don't get me started on what it was NOT covering, I'm talking about the 'implied' haya factor here). Agar yeh sab karaaana he tha, then why not earlier in teh show, when she wasn't married ...

Oh, wait, why am I asking ... duh ... coz the TRPs weren't this low before!!!!!!!!!!

tsk tsk tsk ... they shoudl get some more hot faces in teh show ... MAYBE THEN they can salvage it ... NOT !!!

Here's an idea ... instead of trying new twists, new tracks ... why don't they try new CVs ... or heck, the old ones ...
