I think I can safely comment here since my topics too have met similar fate in the past😳. Not becoz I bashed or somebody bashed in them, but bcoz it didnt go down well with some 'die-hard' fans who can't differentiate between humour and sarcasm.
I always keep away from AR topics however instigatory they may be😉 but one cant expect evry one to think so. When we make topics where we feel free to mention the other party in not a nice way, they are sure to respond. Here am talking abt both the parties concerned. And then retaliations ,arguments..results in making the whole thing ugly.
I didnt find the TM 's posts as harsh as many others that still flourish in the forum. So my full sympathies with u.
@Rolz-😆 u amused me with ur first option😉

I agree with Sabz here and I hope Veena youcan answer this question.. If a post says "Only AR post" or "Only SR post" but go on bashing the other couple for instance, a topic which was closed today .. The topic maker said it was strictly an AR post but started the topic itself with bashing SR and wanted SR to end . Then how the SR fans are supposed to react this. It's plain natural to retaliate and get defensive . And then we tend to post negative comment.. Thus in those cases.. I feel where the TM himself knows that the topic is gonna lead to fight , much more strict action should be taken against TM than just closing the topic.
Just my views. =)

I agree with the topic maker.. that a perfectly good discussion is ruined by off topic comments.

The links you have are with your interest but it happens both ways.

DT realizes that the 'rule' of AR fans not posting in a SR thread and vice versa' is really not working as well as we thought it would.

Because regardless both the set of fans comment in topics and really DT have tried to keep a check but it is humanly impossible to read each and every topic for this

violation.

About trashing comments and keep the topic going: I personally like that idea but DT need those comments as proof when raising a WL or when putting together a warning for a member. Yes we could have screenshots but those can be manipulated with Photoshop and can't be used as solid proof. That is our reasoning for not doing that.

Other reason is.. regardless of how much warning, when members don't seize to stop commenting or instigating the best way is to close the topic because the back and forth will never end. We have all seen that.

Note: I am here because I like this discussion and DT really is trying to stabilize this forum. Any input from members is helpful for DT and we will discuss on that. I would like to keep this conversation going. Thanks.

Ok I wanna say something off topic ..

When SRians make topics criticizing or commenting on any DT, their topics get closed asap😊.. And this topic is read by a Mod, and is open.. Wowow!

Anyways -- I wanna thank the TM to come up with this😃Thanks ff.. 😳 I am glad tht this topic aint getting closed anytime soon.. I also feel bad when it happens to my friend.. Thank God none of my topics got closed for such reason.. But I know how does it feel..

Thanks sweety.. Love ya😳

Point noted and I agree it is natural to get defensive and reply on those topics.. it is only human.
There have been lots of times that DT has Pmed TM and asked to change wordings or topic headings if the topic is good discussion but not sensitive to members on the forum.
We do take action on the TM and close the topic... how does it benefit to keep a topic open if the TM has created a instigating or a topic bashing a character/show/actress/fans. That creates more unrest on the forum.

I agree with some of your points but also diagree on some, and you will ask how so am gonna answer you. If one from you be it Ar fans or SR fans stop posting in each other's topic then only we can warn a particular group, Plus, members cant see the warning level raise, We dont close each and everytopic as you can see the nu,mber of topics opened by members, but some topics which are going in a good way suddenly, everybodystart to bash each other and we have no choice except of closing thread. Moderators are also humans and it takes so much time to post notes or to take care of every little thing... which members dont bother. Instigating posts should be avoided atleast now as this forum isnt stable at the moment. We need you guys to co-operate with us so things should get smooth. We are working on Voilations dont worry about that.😊

hi!!!
its a very good thing you brought this up...
i sent a pm to the mods about the same thing about a week ago and sano replied saying they would definitely do something about it...
the most irritating thing is no one cares about getting reported anymore....
we know the dev team tries to keep maximum participation by giving verbal warnings before raising the warning level....
but some members are just so stubborn...they don't care about the warning and instead openly make fun of it by saying things like oooohhhhh i'm so scared the mods are gonna warn me....or beware of the great mods of dmg forum.....
they will come to any fan topic of ksg and jenny especially and spoil our day....for no reason at all.
and they will do it again and again and again....no matter how many times they are warned....
so my suggestion is....let the warning levels be visible to everyone....as of now only the dev team can see a members warning levels....but if everyone can see then it will probably be more effective...
another suggestion is...the dev team can give verbal warning for small offences but for repeated defaulters who stubbornly keep abusing the same ppl again and ruining topics they should be warned and subsequently their warning levels can be raised....

hopefully the dev team will do something about this soon...but i don't blame them they kinda have too much on their plate as it is with so many unruly and adament members around!

love
sumedha
