Shilpa is mental yes. In some ways..
- Shilpa is playing a lady Armaan. Armaan was the same but less destructive. Remember Armaan and Rahul days?
- She is mental because she thinks life is a joke
- She has many shades. One side she is caring, but on the other side she is loud and rude. She is dedicated to her work, but likes to help . thus helping Sid out with Riddhima.
-She is mental because DMG was before all about crying back and forth. Don't forget she is an intern and when all new interns entered, they were mental too. Even the old interns were all mental too.
I say give her time. She is most intriguing character ever in DMG , not because SA plays her. She is because, this girl has many shades.
I am sure the soft side will come out , with circumstances and even CV's have said that they are making this character bold, cause Dr. Armaan Malik can return back to his soul.
Basically, they want to show, that someone can love Armaan for what he is, without changing himself.
