hey asma, I believe you were searching for 'A Perfect Character without any flaws' in Siddhanth Modi and that's why you got upset with his character when he did some wrong things! Yes, I agree he did some wrong things and he did some good things too and he repented for the bad things he did... totally Human.
Ok, let me go through few of your points from my POV.
1) Sid started as a spoilt brat, rich handsome with girls falling for them left right and centre and his relationship with his love interests started with fights. U find this similar to Armaan's story! I say I find this premise in many love stories. CV's just used the same for Armaan then Sid... chronology issues with entry of characters.
2) Sid-Tamanna track was shown as an infatuation - You know in this case too Sid tried his best to convice Tamanna of his interest in her, he pursued her, proposed her, but Tamanna never gave any heads up anywhere. He did act immaturely with her mom, but c'mon if Tamanna loved him, he can show him he's wrong, try to guide him like Riddhima is doing now. You need two people to become a couple... Tamanna at the end showed that she was never there in the picture. She told Sid that he's a kid and bid him goodbye at the Airport. what was Sid supposed to do- kidnap her, tied her tightly so she does not go anywhere or keep ranting that he loves her till she says the same. There shud be some willingness from Tamanna for Sid to do any of these, but Alas! there was nothing like that from her during her last days in India.
3) Sid and Riddhima fights - These fights almost every time they started becoz Riddhima cud not stop her itch to interfere in Sid's business. Slapping on the airport without listening, shouting rapist, molester always - does she even know how a society looks at a guy if a girl calls him a molester? any guy who cares about his self-dignity surely can't put up with slaps and insolent behaviour. If Ridz makes her life mission to soil Sid's character and irritate him, what shud Sid do? Sit quietly! Oh wait! One can't do that too becoz ridz doesn't stop her torture till you start giving back to her. She made him a socioety outcast in front of the restaurant people, so Sid took the sanps in a fit of fury... totally wrong but still humans tend to lose control in such situatios and that's why we call them emotions!
4) Sid developing feelings for Riddhima... All I can say is that's how you fall in love.. unknowingly.
5) Sid-Riddhima's marriage ... both parties are at fault for this. Who asked Riddhima to shout rape in front of the whole hospital rather than Shanky's cabin when Sid had already explained her the situation? Doing for society or watver, she got those societal pressures onto herself by creating a fuss along with Sid
6) Sid thought that she decided to commit suicide on their marriage as a last attempt to destroy Sid's reputation. Can't blame Sid for thinking so becoz Ridz did enuf things to prove it. You see someone dying in front of you and you are struggling to keep them alive, man, such event will shake you from within your soul. He was angry after that event so was rude to her.
7) Hahaha... seduction scene again ... pls ... Sid know Ridz loved Armaan a lot and suddenly she bacomes all this wifey wifey and says she is suddenly ready to make this marriage work, I'm sure you'll be like 'what the heck? pls show some real emotions'. Sid just wantde to show her that this attitude of her's was fake and she still needs time to get out of her past. So, the seduction sequence to prove that she needs to show her real self.
Oh My God! I can explain other shades of Sid's character, but I need some pause now. All I want to say is if you want Sid to do all perfect things for you, then he is definitely not your idol. He's a human who has feelings, confusions, sometimes acts differently while he feels differently... but shows raw human emotions to the core
