Watched bits and pieces of some episodes recently.. am a little foxed! 😍
I understand Ridhima's angst against Sid is really an outpour of her anger, frustration and despair with Armaan's rejection of her but is that really an excuse for her behaviour and everyone's tacit and not-so-tacit support of her.
Many people go through heartbreak and being jilted, the strong ones get over it and find a new purpose in life but there are some, like Ridhima, who allow the experience to embitter them.
From what I remember from reading the updates, it was Ridhima who instigated this battle. In any case she seems to suffer from a chronic case of "shoot first and ask later". She accused Sid of molestation when he was trying to help her and deliberately sent him to jail. Remember she sent Armaan to jail for something that he had not done, only to realise later how wrong she was. But you can't always apologise and make things better. If Sid is crass and ferocious in his rebuttal, she is responsible for instigating that.
If I am not wrong, even the basketball match was her idea,
(and I may be since I did not watch the episode) , as was the condition of blackening his face. She hit at his male pride and he retaliated with a condition that would hurt her female vanity – Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned!! Yet, everyone is appalled at his behaviour and not hers.
Smashing a cake in his face was completely unprovoked, even though a reaction of a stinging pride hurt by Sid's denouement of her as garbage and a forceful reminder of a similar humiliation at Armaan's hands. I was appalled by Keerti's blatant favouritism in supporting Ridhima.😭 Granted she couldn't put down a senior doctor in front of the interns, but I see no one trying to talk sense into Ridhima. Everyone is busy telling Sid to behave himself! Beware Sid, that's what you get when you mess with the dean's daughter! 😆
Ridhima's character, from the start, has been a little sanctimonious and holier-than-thou but now she's quite dislikeable. Sure she's been through a lot and no one deserves to be spurned especially for the reason she was...but as they say "aur bhi gham hai jamane mein".
People who stay in glass houses should not throw stones. If she doesn't have the courage to deal with the fallout of her actions, she shouldn't start something. She's started the battle, she must be ready to face the opposition and what it doles out!
Am waiting to see what Sid does – atta boy but just be careful, the dice are loaded against you! 😭 😭
