True, she rock in all her roles.

I can only judge by what I saw in DSDDSB, what she may have done in a past life is of no concern. Most of the time she has this dumb expression, wide eyes, mouth open. Never felt that even Life OK looked upon her as a serious actress.

Yeah, if all you are going by is this serial, I completely agree w/ you. You would have had to have seen her previous serials - particularly Jyoti & Rakt Sambandh - to judge her real capabilities as an actress. If this is the first serial you're watching, obviously you'll be disappointed. Her past performances - for those who have seen them - give people a good idea of her capabilities, but certainly won't sustain her currently if her current role is mediocre.

I agree that the CVs should blame if they've done a piss poor job in building the character. The weak Jhanvi was never meant to be an audience puller, but a strong Jhanvi later should have. In Rakt Sambandh, as I pointed out in Sriti's AT, they did that character development beautifully. In the first part of that serial, she was blind, and a victim, and in the second part, she regained her eyesight and the knowledge of what really happened to her father, and from then on, she was on a campaign for justice, and finally sent her entire sasural to their sasural - jail. Had they done something like that here, things would have been fine.

@vrish Totally agree with you. But here cvs were too obbessed with evil that they compromise each and every character for it. Even their own show.

Exactly Vrish. Her past performances were so much better because the CVs gave her character time to develop and didn't rush it. Jhanvi was rushed, but Sandhya was never rushed. And neither was Sudha. The pace at which their development was shown was believable and understandable and it gave Sriti a chance to showcase her full talents.

Sudha in fact took forever to get fully exposed & then cured. Indeed, Devika had so many close brushes w/ getting caught that the Suday story never seemed to go forward. It was only after her arrest that things became faster. Sadly, that serial gave her and Alok the shaft after Suday's marriage. I happen to think that after that inane track of Brij & Sushma getting remarried, Sriti may have pulled out of that herself.

Oh that's for sure. Because after Suday's marriage there wasn't much scope left in Sudha's character. All they would show of her would be in a side scene, maybe sitting at a dining table or having a romantic dinner with Uday.

Yeah, but a lot of us preferred Suday's romance to either Jyoti's (w/ Pankaj), or any of the others.
