Well I'm kind of glad he wasn't shot, but not because I love him or anything but for Sia's sake, let me explain..
Viraj has an extremely distorted way of looking at things, he has psychological issues, which need to be treated.
Once Viraj has been treated and he thinks like a normal human being, he will repent and feel immense guilt for what he put Jhanvi through. I want him to be tortured by the thoughts of the things he did, and this will only happen once he stops thinking the way he does, and starts thinking like the rest of us do. Otherwise, he will always remain psychologically challenged and there won't be any remorse, any guilt, nothing.
You see him being shot would be the easy way out for him, therefore, he should be treated for the illness he has, become a normal person, be haunted by the memories of his disgusting crimes, and then be punished for his crimes. No physical punishment would be enough, I want to see him go through mental and emotional punishment.
This I think is important for Sia, as most people who have been abused always want their abuser to admit that they were in the wrong, and when Viraj does that, it will be a relief for her, his acceptance that he did wrong will help her heal from the bad memories. Sorry will never be enough, but it will be amazing for Sia to ever hear those words from Viraj's mouth.
Viraj is a criminal, but where's the fun in simply punishing him when he doesn't even realise he is wrong? Only when he realises that he is wrong, will his real punishment begin. I hope the writers put him through a huge mental turmoil.
