But the fact is that Komalika said exactly what is bolded. He is one that did not want to get help, and he would never get the treatment needs without his being brought down. Komalika herself talked about his needing treatment, after being brought down.

That's why this was no last minute change.

As for why they are doing it at the cost of Raghav's character, well perhaps the ME and/or the leap will give us more insight into that. And perhaps it will turn out it's not at the cost of his character. But then again, they had ruined all characters.

So we'll see.

Also, this is not exactly out of character for Raghav. There was another instance where he lamented that he can't do anything to Viraj because he is mentally ill.

thats the thing...
leap is a last minute change to keep v's mental condition track and it is out of the blue...
komolika said clearly he needs to be treated like a criminal...then y r cvs creating a sympathy for him?
that too thru raghav???
and trust me wen i say that in order to keep v intact...every other character is this show has been messed big time!
he did not lament...he actually witnessed v's insanity for the first time...and was shocked at the low level v could stoop to!
here raghav is being shown to not react to tashu's almost rape...so that ppl can sympathise with v thru him!

Dr Komolika also said that Raghav and Sia should not feel sympathetic towards Viraj. That he knows very well what he's doing and he enjoys it.

^^^^ thanku fatima...
dr k clearly hinted that redemption was not possible and sympathy was out of the question..
but cvs r now showing the exact opposite thing...
which means its oki if everything shown in this show is compromised...
the objective is..v should be glorified...thats it!

Cvs should change the name of the show. Post leap name could be VIRAJ ki kahani. Since leap will escape whole jhanvi journey and then it will about v and only v. I have no problem with v as long as jhanvi and raghav characters are given importance but cvs never want to show that!

@ummesulaiman, Viraj is closely tied with Jhanvi ki Kahani. It's Jhanvi ki Kahani because of Viraj. I know the argument that it can continue on afterwards as her Kahani without Viraj. But I don't see that happening or did I ever see it happening.

And it was not the space given to any old villain. It was the space given to a negative character who is also a protagonist.

I would agree with you that it should be Jhanvi's story. But you know, the very fact that Raghav-Viraj fight is promoted as hero vs whatever you want to call Viraj, tells you that it's always about the male characters.

I am talking about how the story has been from the beginning till now. And if it turns out that there is no focus on Viraj after his downfall and it's all about Raghav-Sia with Viraj as the third angle, then I will agree that it's Jhanvi's story and not Viraj's.

She said not to feel sympathy towards Viraj and not to let it deter them from bringing him down. He is a mastermind criminal who knows very well what he's doing and enjoying it.

She also said he refused to get the help he needs and needs to be brought down for him to even have a possibility of getting help.

Why is this being ignored? They kept bringing it up for a reason. They needed to bring forth his downfall first.

This was even brought up and speculated. People hoped that finally he will see his downfall and then he will have his moment of catharsis. And so the lead up to his disorder/past, whatever.

Illkash the show could continue without viraj since its jhanvi story. Basically its DV women story so the story does not end after v gets punishment. its important to show how Jhanvi gave her life second chance and overcome her emotional wounds which V has given her but cvs dont want it to show that. And this leap only proves that cvs wants to keep V in the picture so they are doing this.

Busting in for a minute...This is Viraj's story as well, because everything is happening because of him. He plays a BIG role !
