He is 29 years old nd celebrates his birthday on 17th of May. His horoscope is Tauraus. He has black silky hair, with brown attractive eyes, a height of 5.10.5 inches and a fair complexion.

He started his career through modelling. He always dreamt to be an actor and nothing more than that.He did his schooling in his birth town GONDIA, and later moved to PUNE where he did his graduation in engineering.

His tv career started with the role of KARAN SHRIVASTAV in ZEE TV serial MAMTA. The role was a negative one and was a very important point in his career which made him aware of the camera and the technical part of daily soaps. He got his breakthrough in SAB TV's show LEFT RIGHT LEFT,where he played the very popular role of ALI BAIGH, a young cadet.

The simple, cute, young and innocent ALI won the youth's heart very easily and this popularity gave a booster to HARSHAD's colourful career.

In 2007, he bagged the male lead role of the SONY TV serial AMBER DHARA, but unfortunately just after 2 weeks of his entryhe was replaced in the show.However HARSHAD's career wasn't much effected by that as very soon, he had been roped in by EKTA KAPOOR to play the male lead of her one of the most ambitious projects of that time KIS DESH MEIN HAIN MERA DIL.His character was named PREM JUNEJA and just after a month PREM was thought to be the nation's most wanted male in the female community. This role of his gave him name, fame, awards, rewards, fans and everything a star deserves for his hardwork. Basically he was the only actor/member of the KIS DESH team who had bagged an individual award for his role. HARSHAD's portrayal of PREM, redefined the aura of lover boys which was created by other great and evergreen characters of SUJAL,ANURAG, MIHIR nad KARAN.

Later as soon as KIS DESH ended, HARSHAD was the most wanted among the fans and just within two months of the show's end, he again bagged the lead role of another very awaited project form balaji telefilms. EKTA KAPOOR herself said that the project was very close to her heart as it was somehow inspired from her childhood, and she had thought of only one actor that is HARSHAD when the writers wrote the character of ANURAG GANGULY. ANURAG GANGULY, his role in TERE LIYE, was typically the most difficult portrayal of a man in love. The script was against him, but yet HARSHAD's fantastic portrayal of the character just made ANURAG the most desired man in every girls' heart. Every girl at that time wanted to be called mishti,every girl wanted to sing for the mad ONU in the assylem, every girl wanted to have a best friend like ANURAG, everyone wanted to go all sufi, wheneva ANURAG used to say that he hated to see his TAANI crying.This character of ANURAG was more special because it not only gave HARSHAD new fans, but also his first best actor awartd ever.In december 2010 he won the BEST ACTOR MALE TELLY AWARD for his role of ANURAG in TERE LIYE. Not only that , in november 2010 he bagged the award for BEST FACE MALE in ITA awards ceremony. With this role HARSHAD continued to show why he is called the king of romance. Still his fans crave to see a glimpse of their pagal ONU.

Then again HARSHAD CHOPDA was flooded with offers after TERE LIYE ended, and this time he chose to select a role which was out of his image of a romantic hero. He sighned the show DHARAMPATNI, and had played the role of the young, dashing and cool MOHAN GALA. Fans remained surprised to see their hero being all naughty and breaking the rules onscreen, his portrayal was so lively that his fans were named to be MOHAN BAWRIIs. Along with his character portrayal, even his dressing style as MOHAN was hugely appreciated, his cool tees with very unique writeovers, or his formnal single coloured shirts with folded sleeves only kept adding up to the heat he used to create onscreen. He completely lived the character of a boy who was a geek and later transforms into a very handsome young man after he visits abroad. MOHAN GALA is still cherished for his classic oneliners.

So after DHARAMPATNI had ended, it was just a shocker for his fans when just within 7 days of the show's endd we came to know that our king HARSHAD was about to return back to our screens with his role of RAGHAV in the LIFEOK serial SAUBHAGYBHATI BHAVA.The most memorable and cherished phase for his fans as their wait for RAGHAV was a very worth one. His character had got a very huge positive response as soon as he had entered the show. This time it was a rugged and cult role for him, not a very charming appearance, not much of dialogues, but yet he continued to make his impact as RAGHAV on the viewers. Overnight the list for RAGHAV fans increased drastically and the count is still going on. We can also call it RAGHAV mania that now more people and most of the fans of the show want to see RAGHAV only on their screen, his chemistry with all the coactors of the show was a bang on, his background score that resembles him to be an avatar of LORD RAM was an instant heart stealer. His style statement of being too rugged, with his long and silky messed up hair, and with a stubble has became a rage. His simple checked shirts as RAGHAV has made his fans swoon over theiir feet.It has also been notice that how his crazy fans are buying similar shirts like him and also wearing them on the way to their universities.

Thus journey with RAGHAV is still on, and hopefully RAGHAV will keep entertaining us more and more in the coming episodes.
