Good, solid episode tonight. Character dev. was there to an extent.
>> Pros:
1) Jahnvi not stopping Raghav from leaving
It would've been an overused concept. I liked that she asked him to talk to his mother, at least, explain what had happened. It showed that she knows there's a reason behind his fight with the cops and that he couldn't do anything wrong. It showed her trust in him.
2) Raghav explaining why he attacked the cops
I loved the way that he explained it to Gayatri and the way that Gayatri reacted to it. She sat there like an Ice Queen, sipping her tea, until she realized that the cops had wrecked his garage and he'd only tried to protect it. His words on how he had learnt to protect his home [from her] struck a cord in her.
Raghav isn't stupid. He knows how to speak to his mother. I swear, Gayatri and Raghav, they're the same -- stubborn and proud. And their chemistry? Uff. Love it.
3) Gayatri asking Jahnvi to warm dinner for Raghav
What I loved even more was how Gayatri said "Sia!" just as Raghav turned to leave. And how he stopped. Because that call-out had actually been for him, not Sia -- it was just that her stupid pride wouldn't take a backseat and allow her to call out his name and stop him directly from leaving. So she asked him to stay by telling Sia to prepare dinner for him.
It made me smile. Because Gayatri and Raghav's pride can be childish. But I love it.
Oh, and did anyone else notice that Gayatri called him "Raghav" during her talk with the manager? 😃
4) Gayatri asking Raghav to fix up his garage
This was her way of showing obvious concern and understanding for him. I loved how she asked him to fix it up in such a kind and sensible tone of voice. Beautiful. But what I loved even more was Raghav's obvious joy at her concern. He practically sprinted out of there in fear of her changing her mind and burst his happy bubble again. LOL.
It was nice to see Raghav feel cared for by his mother -- even if it was just for a moment. One could tell that it meant a lot to him. She reached out to him.
5) RaghaVi and Sunder working together to fix up his garage
Sweet moments. Missed this trio as well. Loved how joyous Jahnvi seemed, all optimistic and energetic. She seemed happier than Raghav that his mother had reached out to him. Heh. Cute. Nice to see her careless like this, forgetting herself for a second and enjoying the company.
It's funny how Raghav can make her so relaxed and light-hearted. She doesn't even quite realize it herself.
6) Krish's appearance
God, I missed this kid. Good to see him again. Loved his concern for Raghav and Raghav saying that white lie. Best part was the silent communication between RaghaVi. Heh. And of course Krish helping out.
7) The manager calling Gayatri right away
Thank the CVs for some logic. I would've ripped my hair out if the manager had been too stupid to guess the situation, and especially if he'd called and asked Gayatri to "meet him somewhere private" as they tend to do in other shows. And then something goes wrong.
This clever manager didn't waste time. He called her up right away.
8) Gayatri-Komal interaction
I really like their relationship. It's very friendly. Less saas-bahu and more big/little sister or mother-daughterish. Hard to explain. But love how Gayatri opens up in front of Komal. It's refreshing considering how every other saas-bahu relationship usually is on TV.
What I find strange is that Komal doesn't open up in the same way toward Gayatri. Hm...
9) Komal's mysterious expression
You guys cannot tell me that you didn't notice Komal's closed off expression when Gayatri started talking about Dev. I'm telling you: There was something off about Dev. Something that Komal hid from people, is still hiding from people.
>> Cons:
1) Gayatri not suspecting Viraj
I know that the manager didn't get the chance to finish his sentence, but seriously? In the wake of Viraj's mistake and the strange happenings ever since he came into the house -- on top of that, Raghav's judgment on him -- how can she not suspect him just a little? Just enough to keep an eye on him?
She's supposed to be a sharp-minded woman. She did consider Raghav's words once in relation to V being dangerous... why is she purposely ignoring all the alarm bells?
2) Jahnvi's constant "has he-hasn't he" drama
She needs to make up her mind on whether or not he has amnesia. Please. Before I grab a hammer and knock her in the head and give her amnesia.
3) Rushed scenes
Self-explanatory.
4) Dual V
Self-explanatory, but I'll still add: Why? Why are the CVs showing this schizo freak show? They're seriously digging a deeper grave. Not only did they add sympathy in the mix when they introduced his OCPD -- now they're making him hallucinate to give people another reason to excuse him as the evil tyrant he is? Gosh.
