Cons:
1) Viraj and his so-called "alter ego"
I am confused. You see, I don't believe that V has an alter ego -- regardless of the writers trying hard to convince me. I cannot understand what they're playing at right now. To make him seem schizophrenic in order to justify viewers' sympathy for him? They're treading dangerous waters and I fear that they've no clue what they're messing with. V is a black character. Inside out. And that won't change for me. But it's annoying how they crafted his scene tonight -- the V versus V scene.
Word! Black Viraaj being the only reason Viraaj is the way he is, is an insult to Viraaj I say! 😆 What an insult to his lovely little brain to credit ALL his ideas to some dark force that obviously isn't a part of him!
Honestly, like I said, the alter ego argument falls apart the moment you consider that his Pink Viraaj is a facade he's using because Jhanvi clearly stated to him that she isn't scared of him (how I wish she'd actually stuck to that!!). Even when he was making arguments against Black V, they sounded hollow to his own ears, and for the most part he was either telling Black V to shut up or sulkily telling him that Jhanvi should come to him of her own volition, not by force.
Even so, what is the difference? It's coercion of a different kind, he's getting her to come back through deception, and if he were so concerned about Jhanvi wanting to be with him, why was he jumping at the idea of her accompanying him to Manali, knowing that she wasn't ready, knowing that the only reason she'd be going was because her employers liked Viraaj but couldn't be bothered getting involved in the dirty work of caring for him?
2) Jahnvi's concern for V and stereotypical prayer for him like a goodie goodie devi
The headline is self-explanatory. No further comments.
I think I should stop having my ears perk up everytime Jhanvi tells herself she'll be different and main nahin daroongi. This woman takes one step forward and two steps back all the time! 😆
Pros:
1) Raghav's proud [and adorably childish] "mujhe pata tha"
This scene stole the show for me. It was absolutely hilarious. The way that Raghav said "mujhe pata tha" with a proud and triumphant grin when Krish shook his head, refusing to say goodbye to "uncle" -- it just cracked me up, man. Just adorable. Raghav obviously knew that Krish would refuse [but he needed to hear it for his own pleasure] and Krish, too, knew exactly what Raghav wanted to hear. It was a Team KriGhav moment.
Enjoyed the rest of the scene as well. Cute how Raghav got concerned, searching for Krish. In the end, Krish was found in his closet which reminded me of how I used to hide in my closet to avoid school. Unlike Krish, I had a flashlight and my Harry Potter book with me and was never caught.
Random.
I love how just about everything about KriGhav! These two could spend the entire episode having a burping contest and charm us still 🤣
2) Jahnvi's decision that she'd tell the truth to Komal
I was kind of proud of her for that. Forget the fact that she didn't go through with it and all that -- but the decision in itself wasn't something I'd expected from her. I thought that she'd silently go to Manali. Without a fight. She surprised me.
Yeah. Her one step forward...and then she went two steps back by stupidly not considering what danger Tashu would be in. She has these sudden bursts of gusto that she should allow to take over more often! I like that Jhanvi!
3) Taashu's failed scare
Hilarious and sweet scene between brother-sister. Loved how she kept pointing out Raghav's obvious shyness, teasing him about it. Made me sad to think that she'll turn negative. However, I do hope that it won't be a full character transformation. She's young and an easy prey for V -- as he's immensely charming. Perhaps she'll be negative, but eventually realize her mistake in trusting V and make amends.
The heartbreak for Raghav will still happen, I guess.
It felt a little bit like a goodbye-to-good-Tashu kinda scene to me Sigh.
4) Taashu and V on a roadtrip, but no music, please!
Imagine being a mature man stuck in a car with two loud teenagers for six hours straight. I want to feel bad for V, but he deserves the torture. Heh.
He finally snapped though. Hadn't expected that since he seemed hellbound on keeping up the I'm-a-sweet-and-tolerable-guy act. Guess the fact that he didn't have Jahnvi with him put him in a sour mood. Hell yes.
Again, sulky-lill-boy Viraaj. 😆 He looks like the kid who had his favourite toy snatched from him. But I quite miss that Viraaj...the sweet one was getting a bit too cloying for me. It's like being asked to drink caramel for two hours straight 🤢
5) Raghav's concern for V's health
LMAO. That's all I could think during the entire scene. It was frigging hilarious. The way that he kept interrupting V, not allowing him to get a word in. And then the way V kept glaring at him as if he was mentally murdering Raghav. The way V clutched his bag, as if to keep from hurling it at Raghav.
I love how Raghav outsmarted V. For once a man managed to make sure that V didn't get what he desired. It was a pleasant feeling, I'd say. Plus Raghav's monologue was too funny. What if V fainted? Someone would have to catch him. Sia is too skinny to do it. God, ROFLMAO. And the whole "experienced driver" comment. I couldn't stop laughing -- especially when he went ahead to suggest that he should go with and V practically pounced at him with a big fat NO.
The only concern of mine is that Raghav told him about Sunder. I fear for him.
I loved this little thrust-and-parry between these two guys. And I think this was the first time Raghav was playing with Viraaj as much as Viraaj had been playing him.
But I did go a little 😕 when he mentioned Sundar. Seriously, Raghav, what were you thinking!!
6) V on his way to Manali
It might be a short-lived happiness, but it's a relief for however long it lasts.
Also, we might get to see his reunion with Unniyal. Bonus point.
Word...WORD I say! 👏
7) Raghav confronts Gayatri
This scene was absolutely mindblowing and one of the highlights of the episode. Raghav's pure anger at Gayatri for allowing Taashu to head to Manali with V, and how he confronted her with a straightforward, no-nonsense attitude. Gayatri made a serious mistake. She might not realize it right now, but I fear that when she realizes it --it'll be too late.
I'm glad that Raghav pointed out how Gayatri's not being sensible, that she doesn't see his pain nor cares for it. That she trusted a stranger over him. All the things that had been left unsaid -- well, they were said tonight.
I wonder if Gayatri realizes that she isn't a part of any of her children's lives, preoccupied with all of her charity work and projects. She didn't care for Taashu returning home late at night and I wonder if that's a habit.
Funny thing about Gayathri is that I think she likes to hold on to her point no matter what it does to the people around her. She was forced to go back on her decision about making Sia go with Viraaj...seriously, I hated both Gayathri and Komal in this scene. Gayathri makes a decision involving Sia without even bothering to ask her what she thinks, and Komal just goes along even when the logic behind the move was sketchy at best. And letting Tashu go just to underline to Raghav that she's the boss around here...darling Gayathri, Raghav makes a better family member away from the house than you do in your own freaking home!!
