Please refrain from provoking/bashing. Thank you.
I'm a bit unwell tonight. Bear with me.
Tonight's episode was good. Not great. But good.
Pros:
1) Tortured Raghav in the outhouse
I've always loved a tormented, remorseful soul in male leads. Raghav, tonight, had all of the self-hatred, torment, vulnerability, and self-directed anger in him that almost seemed to be screaming for some kind of relief, forgiveness, redemption.
The way that he tossed the chocolates in his hand -- I could feel that frustration. Because how many times haven't we been so frustrated or furious at ourselves, at our past, that it has made us slam doors, throw things, or scream. There was something lonely about the way that he stood in his room, alone, trying to deal with the pain within him.
2) Sia's bruised arm and Raghav's concern
Sia bruises easily, which conveys the delicateness of her character. But I really liked how Raghav's concern for her bruise made him touch her -- forgetting that he shouldn't. In his voice and expression, there was deep concern for her pain.
3) Viraj -- kebab mein haddi
Chappals mat phenkna, yaar. But as much as I was annoyed with Viraj's strange behavior and all, I was also extremely bewildered. I cannot, for the life of me, tell what's going on in his head. Hands down, KVB manages to confuse the hell out of me with his performance.
Outstanding.
4) Gayatri and Raghav
GAH. Just love, love, love their interaction. Gimme more, please. Gayatri's conflicted and obvious emotional struggle in relation to her second son is just mindblowing to watch. I've said it so many times before, but the way these two are in sync with each other is simply amazing.
5) Krish
Missed him. Loved his ice cream gesture. Just outstanding performances by such a little kid who doesn't even have one dialogue. Plus, his chemistry with Harshad never ceases to amaze me. He doesn't have that level of chemistry with anyone else on the show. And it has made me wonder what their relationship is like in real life.
6) The car scene
I wanted to rip my hair out when Viraj wanted to come with. It showed how, even with his memory loss, he's still an intrusive character who can't take a hint. LOL. I liked that they, as in the CVs, have shown some of his character traits like this.
7) The singing scene
It was surprisingly well captured. I thought it'd be cheesy, but they managed to make it all seem convincing, in the end. Raghav playing the guitar looked natural. Sia was great. The music didn't seem out of sync with the scene.
8) Raghav-Sia ice cream scene
This was the highlight of the episode for me. Why? Because we all know how Jahnvi has always loved ice cream and she used to ask Viraj for it, but he rarely allowed it. So when Raghav joked about eating her ice cream and she reacted by clutching it in her hands as if he might suddenly snatch it from her -- I had to LMAO big time. That was cute. And even Raghav seemed to think it was cute -- judging from his smile
9) Raghav ne line maari
I'm so immensely relieved that Raghav didn't say something annoyingly cliche like "haila, you look beautiful" when he saw Sia in her sari. What he said was way more important -- that she looks nice, but he likes it the best when she's herself. Indicating that Jahnvi is not the person who she really is. Thank God.
Cons:
1) Sia and the sari and the twisted logic behind it
I'm repeating myself in every Con section. The logic behind her wanting to test Viraj -- all the frigging time -- makes no sense whatsoever. Does she want him to remember her? Is it because she's somehow addicted to his torture or something twisted like that, because I'm starting to lose my patience with her.
All she thinks/talks about is how she can test his reaction to some Jahnvi like trait of hers and I'm like: O.O Are you serious? Maybe you should just keep a low profile and not, um, provoke the viper? If he doesn't remember you and you provoke his memory -- then you sort of pranced into the lion's den.
UGH. She just frustrates me right now.
ANYWAY, can't think of much else right now due to major pain. The episode was alright. Wasn't bored. Wasn't overly excited either. The chocolate toss will obviously give ammo to people who want to rip Raghav's character, I suppose 😆 Guess that was the point 😆
Night, peeps.
