In today's episode, I really felt for Yamini. Her pain was real and why not?
She's given years to Anant's family, raised his kids and been supportive to Anant. In the process she's fallen in love with him. She expected nothing from him, didn't even confess her feelings, but stood like a rock besides him in spite of never crossing the line.
All this time Anant respected her (still does) and even loved and cared for her (as someone who's given so much for his family). Now with Ahana in the picture, she may lose all that she had. The children will now have a (step) mother, also they are now older and the chances of her beinbf asked to live her life are high. All this time there was a remote possibility of Anant being with her (not necessarily as a spouse but as a companion) but now that's gone. Yamini is now all alone. The children will soon have their lives (boyfriends, friends, etc).

After all these years Yamini has truly lost not just her love but risks losing everything she had.

Also, the actress did a fantastic job. You could really feel for her.

Yeah it was really sad.
Although I was a little annoyed with her too. She was preparing dinner for him with so much love despite knowing that he has committed himself to a life with someone else. She is just setting herself up for more heartbreak. At this point she should be distancing herself. Not reopening her wounds by spending time in his workshop.

It is such a tragedy that Anant didn't consider Yamini as a life partner first. I was so annoyed at him the way he laughed off his son asking whether he was going to marry Yamini. I think the fact that its such a typical male thing to pick the younger attractive female rather than the more mature choice prevents me from feeling true sympathy for Anant's predicament.

Of course, in the end when it all comes crashing down, Yamini will likely be there to pick up the pieces. In a way that makes it even sadder for Yamini.

It truly surprises me that Anant fell in love with a woman he hardly knows and of course, a lot younger to him instead of Yamini who has always been there, sacrificing her own life for the betterment of his kids and household. If we reflect a bit on the situation, then Yamini seems like such a natural choice for Anant - she knows him inside out; the kids love her and would be jubilant to have her as their mother, and is also closer to his age and level of maturity. Why would he even look at someone else? It was clearly Ahana's youthful beauty that attracted Anant which makes me question the legitimacy of his feeling for Ahana.
And I agree with the above comment. Its high time Yamini starts distancing herself from Anant and lowers her expectations from him. The more she seeks happiness in his company, the sadder will be the final heartbreak when the marriage finally happens. It was truly sad to see her witness the intimacy between Ahana and Anant.

Yes I do agree that the actress is doing a really good job.

But she did try to distance herself & maybe wanted to leave too...however she was unable to do so as she remembered she had promised Anant's 1st wife she will look after the kids.

Then she is falling to the vicious circle of again loving him even though knowing that he has moved on.

I could really feel her pain. The storyline is including all the characters beautifully & not only concentrating on the leads. Which is great. 😊

So far, I like the tempo / flow of the episodes and the attention given to each character is beautifully divided.
Yamini's emotions are depicted very well by the actress. Although she loves him deeply, she still stands by him. When she learns that Laila is against the wedding, she still supports and advises him. Like a good friend would, she cares about his happiness first.

When she prepares their dinner with so much love and care, she is happy to finally spend time with him alone. Without the kids. She has no idea yet that Laila has approved of the wedding in the meantime. So she does all that too to chear him up. Perhaps, secretly hoping he needs a 'shoulder to cry on' and be there for him.

Perhaps Anant did not consider Yamini as a love interest because she was already there. Taking her love and care for granted and perhaps still considering as his sister in law. She is family. And he was not ready mentally to move on.

Ahana is not only young and beautiful, but she entered his life at the right time, at the right place. At least, he might feel that way as he felt that connection with her. They both were not able to move on. Two broken souls, expecting to heal each other.

I would also expect Yamini and Anant to bond, fall in love with each other. But I suppose her priority were the children as she promised her sister. There is love between them, just no sexual attraction (from his side).

Do you think this is Anant's midlife crisis or true love from his side?

Her heartbreak scenes are sad yet scary. She has potential to be a big vamp tomorrow. See how Roshni can be a puppet in her hands.

Not a chance. She is the only sane person with a great insight in the original. Laila Raichand is the only vamp in this show (per the original).

Yes felt really sorry for Yamini. The actress is doing a wonderful job. As for Anant falling for Ahana and not her...well that shows a typical male who goes for beauty and youth rather than loyalty and dedication.
As stated above when all comes crashing down around Anant he may realise what he had given up.
