My 2 cents
First I always had a problem with the meaning of digital and web series EK and her team had for content on their app.. the episodes are always around 20 mins runtime and each season means 10-15 episodes.. each season never meant logical conclusion to the story.. they always shoot some episodes, upload only half at first, later come the remaining even out of those 15..
compare it to content on Prime or Netflix, each season tells a logical part of story, each episode has runtime of 60 mins, mostly all 10-15 episodes are uploaded in one go as one season.. and each season tells the story it is meant to..
I always felt ALT team didnt have a proper plan on how one season has to play out and how next seasons have to come, how content has to be divided between episodes and seasons.. get a script, get actors, shoot, upload episodes and then based on reception, announce further seasons or just stay with season1, which they are mostly ending suddenly..
While other web content like GoT, Crown are brands in their own way, ALT shows are so ill-planned..I dont think they will be able to brand their shows or gain audience-base for APP with this sort of strategy..
Coming to this show, I am glad we have more episodes when compared to any other older show on the APP, the final count will be between 85-90.. but I am sure they will be doing gross injustice while ending in a hurry - to the characters, to the story they hinted till now, to the progressive storyline they created, to the hardwork put in by the cast working tirelessly in continuous night shifts, multiple shifts..
Shameful to think a Palak Sharma or a Mamta Noon end abruptly due to lack of ratings while doormat leading ladies and vampish female characters will continue to entertain Indian audience..
