But this is all very new ...and there is a wedding in 6 days to a girl he was already engaged to before the kidnapping ...and this is a wedding where practically everyone's happiness (except his and Palak's) depends.

This is why I have this question: Should he leave everything at this hour and go for Palak?

We viewers are all romance shippers therefore we want him to go for her, and perhaps that is what will ultimately happen at the climax.

I was trying to think thru this in a more rational way, cause arranged marriages do happen all the time, and most of the time they are done for the love of family. "Marry for love" is a very novel concept that has gained momentum only in the past decade or two
