May Be because she was the only Girl who could defy him ..and was NOT like other girls who he has been with 😉

And as they say...Pyaar waqt dekh Kar nahi hota...wo Toh bas ho jaata hai...same has happened with our Rithwik

I agree. While I like the fast pace, resolution of misunderstandings in a non-dramatic manner, I think we needed to see more of Ritwik and Palak together to see the gradual love between them.

I'm not sure how, Ritwik, who has such major trust issues has started to care so fast for Palak. Yes I get that she is the first one who stood upto him for the right thing, cared for him, and has a pure heart/isn't greedy, but it is a bit fast. She is different from his usual bunch of girls. He can be attracted to her, but love? To me Ritwik is the type of person who wouldn't realize he's in love because it's an alien feeling for him.

As for Ananya, Ritwik has never seen her in that sense at all. He likes her as a friend and his family loves her. He doesn't even trust her to that extent.

On the other hand what attracts Palak so much to Ritwik? She believes in true love and that mar mitne waala love, but when did she fall for Ritwik? They were friends for some 2 days & then he behaved like a jackass.. yes he's doing his best to get Setu/Rohit together but even from her end it's fast.

It certainly seems like the writers are racing towards a certain point..maybe the story is to really begin from there. 😕
