I don't have any problem with Gauri's education. I have problem with her bhakti and mahanta. She also goes too OTT at times which I don't like.
There is not much depth in her character and I don't like her throwing things around.

Anika and Gauri are maybe strong characters in front of others, but behave like complete doormats in front of their husbands.

I dont know modern tbh because I hardly watch tv serials. But these days they do show most of them educated.

I am sure the way Omkara's real character is he will surely encourage and help her with studies in future (we should spam writer and director with this idea in future 😆) once all the mess clears up and they relationship becomes smooth.

Recently this forum has become a place where female leads and vamps are being compared...and constant bashing is being carried out.

Knowledge and Education are two different aspects and we confuse them.

Gauri is not formally educated...that doesnt make her down market..or ...low standard. Unfortunately, this constant bashing of Gauri and comparison with vamps or other female leads is creating unnecessary negativity.

But there is no point in saying anything...this bashing will continue

Not just female lead male lead too he is.compared to tej and wat not he is called worst names. And nobody understand tat he has been through hell .if he doesnt apologise post realisation then problem but abhi none understand him and his reactions

Formal education is not a measure of intelligence nor of superiority. It just means you have been given knowledge that is useful to you. Life is the biggest teacher. I went to University and it gave me so much. It was not just about the degree. I will always say that education is a huge deal and every person should attempt to be educated.

Both Saumya and Bhavya are educated. Even Ridhimma was educated. Ishana spoke English and I think she was at least 12th pass for sure. It is Annika and Gauri who have not had much formal education. But both are strong and independent. I respect people who have created a life for themselves despite their lack of opportunities which both A and G have done. Yes, they both have their rather unpolished ways.

Clearly, Saumya nor Bhavya will speak like that because they had the advantage of formal education and the polish that comes with it. Out of the Three wives, only Saumya had the sort of background to become an Oberoi wife and she is the one that got ousted! LOL. Jhanvi probably has an MBA and once she was ousted from Business by Tej to look after the kids, she just took all his crap. Even women like Hilary stayed with cheating husbands, so it's not like that is a barometer of a woman's strength of character. Jhanvi is weak in love and stayed in love with a creep like Tej. What has being educated have to do with that?

The same applies for Gauri's faith in God or her devotion to her marriage and Om. That comes from her beliefs which have nothing to do with being educated. Even the most Educated woman can be a fool in love, I can vouch for that! LOL. So I agree. Education does not make someone stronger, your character does. Education merely brings opportunities and advantages your way that not being educated may not.

Dont worry. soon they will do justice with bhavya's character. Soon her character will be turn into dumb or into a villain
My problem with gauri is not regarding education, my problem is her character not having much shades & depth in d character

I would just like to say...
Never judge a book by its cover
U may be surprised by what u find inside..
And this holds good for both gauri and omkara..
Some ppl have problem with gauri's dressing style and her education ,her devotion , her tears make her weak..maybe if u get to know her better u maybe surprised as they haven't explored her character to full potential. ..

And as for omkara...whatever he is showing or saying right now is a total facade.. and he himself doesn't know it's a lie..as he himself hasn't looked into his heart..and here too we maybe surprised at what we find in his heart...
So whatever we see in the outer self doesn't show ur true inner self..

I don't completely relate education to personality, but being illiterate doesn't make u innocent,n a pure hearted either, personality is something u have naturally, n it's not about clothing too, but it's about standing up for Ur self respect, which neither anika do nor gauri, n that pati parmeshmar Jaap , I honestly hate it to the core, touching the feet of molesters to save in law's is shameful, n considering the person who call u cheap characterless women as God just because he married you is shameful too, people justify it as Om saved her life , but swetlana gave money n saved life of her mother so gauri should consider her goddess as well but no , practically speaking being educated make u financially strong n emotionally confident, n most of the if members r educated so that's y it's relatable , n educated FL is appreciated ,
Education, clothing, accent don't make u strong
Respecting who you are , standing up for Ur self respect, being emotionally, financially independent makes you strong which right now both anika and gauri doesn't do

Yes I agree that neither A nor G has stood up for themselves enough. They have not said "I am better than this and better than your opinion of me. Stuff you both!". (Which is what these guys deserve to hear sometimes). But then they wont fit into "Mahaan Bahu" category which is what according to Gul etc gets them TRP!

So acting like your self-worth does not matter next to saving In Law's or respecting a man who saved you from near death is what is being shown. Education does give options to people and I am who I am today and live the life I live at least partly thanks to my education. We cant pretend it is not real. But having said that, people who don't have much formal education too have been a success because that is in their personality to seek success.

Being unpolished or uneducated does not make someone innocent or less likely to be cunning or self-serving. That is not a trait only Wall Street types have! LOL. Clothes do NOT define a person and does not show their modern thinking or lack thereof. You can wrap yourself in 10 meters of cloth and still be modern and forward thinking or be wearing the smallest and tackiest outfit and have small minded backward thinking. Whatever your wearing or however much education you have or dont have, if you know who you are, you will justify yourself no matter where you go and among who you go!

Yes those characters have some character sketch for TRP, what iam saying is this character r not relatable , anika n gauri r not someone who I connect to, I don't find them strong n independent, I used to think Anika n gauri r independent before wedding n now both R financially dependent on men n their family, I respect people who made their own life without education or opportunity , anika n gauri r show or introduced as some one who made themselves but a woman who is self made act this weak just because she is married , I don't think so, according to me these R just typical TRP female lead who act according to drama , I find male leads more relatable (not all but some) becz they R clear in their mind n r strong on their beliefs

@ Ultimatewinner:

Agreed. Maybe that is why on Indian TV the male leads have been more relatable to me, and I have more often than not spoken in their favor. Sometimes I don't when they act like true jerks, but sometimes I get them and that is because they are who they are, and they stand in their truth.

The female leads are turned into different people after marriage and made to be too Mahaan and perfect and all sacrificing. I find such women tedious and not at all relatable. Yes, we all make sacrifices and change some of our ways of being once we are married. But most of us retain our independence and our personality. Personally, I am who I have always been. Marriage did not change my character.

But in these shows, they are painting a totally "False" picture of women after marriage. It is so nonsensical sometimes. Women are people too, they are not Devi's and not only "Vamps" think of themselves! LOL
