I agree with Ananya here- Mandy has covered everything. So did Rev and Deepu. I am so sorry guys. I just loose the capacity to write a lot after listing all the points in a single post 🤣.

@Mandy- I dislike the fact that Gauri is an uneducated girl. Don't take me wrong here, I have watched uneducated guy speaking bhojpuri, falling for graduate girl and loved it. But that wasn't the base of their love story, in fact that was never even brought up until very later. But Omkara's girl being uneducated poses a problem in the takkar factor. A character like Omkara will never look down upon her, but there will be a feeling of sympathy and I hate it as a base for a love story. Now a character like Shivaay won't care much for uneducated people and would look down upon them and for him an uneducated girl is fine if not good because she will correct his views. Om is the type who will feel "humdardi" for such people and I think that's worse and unhealthy for a love story lol.

I want a Fhat The Wuck twist like they did in IB...Screw the logic! I will forget the last 15 days ever happened. 🤣

A much needed & very beautiful post . I'm a Shrenu fan and I completely and absolutely agree with your every point , your demand is what every sane viewer of DBO demands ! And I was thinking am I the only one who's losing all interest in Gauri , as a result losing all interest in RiKara & as a result losing interest in the show ? Thank you for showing me that I'm definitely not the only one .Thank you so much TM for this post . 👍🏼

The CVs are not only degrading her character but turning her into a comic relief , which is far worse . Gauri's character is soo OTT & unreal it's hard to connect with her right now . 😒Shrenu is capable of so much more but the makers are full on wasting her acting calibre .

The thing I can guess where & how CVs are taking this lovestory, but it is not looking interesting to me at all !!! Would very much love to change my view later . Worst is , right now it is get's really hard for me to connect with Gauri the way CVs are hell bent on showing her as a comic character with no relief . Where is the girl we saw in the first week & in first few episodes of second week ?

Right now the situation completely & absolutely demands Gauri to remain very serious but she is acting nothing like it ! Aise dikhate rahe then half the viewers will lost interest in her & take it from a huge Shrenu fan ! 😔 I know Gul FLs are supposed to be funny , but her character is coming across OTT funny & I can not , NEVER justify that even for my intense love for Shrenal & RiKara . 🥱

I personally feel its an old concept where a girl is uneducated, is married in the richest business family. I still have hope that maybe gauri is educated. Yes it will more of humdardi, then luv from om's side . May be some would had found it funny but i dint like when she was not able to pronounce Svetlana's name.

Show her as someone with a dual identity , a ghost from past with secret motive , whatever you can come up with . Gauri is the freaking Female lead , why show her as a comic relief in every episode ??? We did not wait for 8 months for this !! We deserve better .

Well I don't agree with many of the points listed in the post. lol it just seemed like a MIL ranting who wants the best for her son. Just kidding :). Ishana-showing-om-hypocrasy-mirror scene is already done and tested. It didn't work for me and for many others. It never give me the takkar feel and was confusing to say the least.

I don't understand why people say there is a need to knock down Om from his high horse and show him his hypocrisy mirror.I never felt Om needed it. May be shivaay and rudy who obviously have some obsessions with blue blood and looks, but then conveniently avoids it when it comes to other brothers partners. They need to see how their attitude changes from person to person . Shivaay is sweet with Soumya no Nkk in picture and rudy loves anika, who is not so much of a classy good looking bhabhi (strictly my opinion). but if you look at Om, Om is like a snow mountain with burning fire inside him but he does not have a piercing outward flaw. He just have to be careful not to open his third eye and burn everything including himself. May be Gauri can help him find that anchor which he lacks now.

Before the story unravels it's too early to judge just because the FL doesn't match our expectations. You see Gauri as a fan girl of Om, or is she? She is the fan girl of Lord shiva and she consider Om as something which symbolizes her faith in God. Both are not same. Not necessarily 'takkar' should be on egos or attitudes, they can have a 'takkar ishqbaazi' with situations as well. Sathy ma prayed for Lord shiva for years and that doesn't take away the respect for her in our eyes. Faith is too big a feeling to be judged casually.

So far Gauri is a courageous girl who is sensible enough to hatch a plan to escape Kt and mature enough not to force herself on a stranger whom she consider as her destiny. Ott is just one aspect of her character. We can surely give her a little more time to establish her equation with Om. We often meet our destiny on the road we took to avoid it.

P p.s me too a Om fan. It took me 9 months to understand Om and be a fan of him and I am in no way gonna judge Gauri in 2 weeks.

About commenting on two week old Gauri - I have said it more than four times already. It is better to say what one dislike now at the beginning than fret about it 2 months later when the character will be beyond ruination.

Yes you can consider it as a MIL rant for a son because my love for Omkara is platonic and I want the best for him, or at least something bearable. But do answer my question on what is the crux of their story? Surely not the baseless devotion you are equating to Lord Shiva and Sati. If this was a fantasy series I would have agreed with all the soul connection and stuff but this isn't one. This is a normal fiction series and people don't have premonitions about their love life like this. Misunderstandings are misunderstandings, they cannot form the crux of a story.

I am only seeing writers throwing together a bunch of random scenes in the name of love story like they actually don't have one but they have to run the show anyway. IshKara confrontation was the only scene I liked of them lol. Ishana didn't work out because of the same OTTness they are showing on Gauri, random dancing and the unbearable comic touch with the Bela- Mala which I am sure is going to be repeated on Chulbul - Gauri.

And finally maybe you can bear the OTTness of Gauri but that is subjective. There are hundreds of others who want her toned down too and I am one of them. There are people who cannot bear a comic character especially in the kind of serious situation in which DBO is set. The ML is engaged to his father's mistress post his mother's suicide attempt and the brothers are trying to prevent the danger looming around the family. The ML is in the middle of a dangerous game with a dangerous woman and amidst such intense plot, there comes the FL who is ruining the momentum with her not so amusing humour. I don't find it funny at all.
