I am talking about myself and I am sure all the Om "deewanis" 😆
They have given a nice transition of Om to Omkara Singh Oberoi. I guess it was inevitable, something every deewani had hoped for, yes hoped is the right word. We have always believed that this would happen some day and we were hoping for it to happen. But I guess we cannot help feel disappointed in some aspects. The biggest disappointment is perhaps that he is changed for the love story and not because of it 😆. But the heart breaking part is that instead of turning properly cold to the world they are showing him as losing his fundamental values of individualism and empathy. As an Om fan I am irked at the thought that he might be made to threaten a community or destroy a temple just to show him ruthless. Omkara has announced that he will destroy Tej in business and has joined business, but essentially he is still Omkara, the one who is supposed to be the embodiment of empathy and compassion. They are base instincts of a human being which can't be changed. How ever he claims to have changed, it is absolutely irritating and heart breaking to any Om fan to think that he will be shown threatening to destroy a temple, to think that he will disregard the feelings of a community for a business deal. I seriously hope he is shown negotiating and not threatening any one.
Or if he actually threatens the temple community. I hope we are shown the conflict between Om and Omkara Singh Oberoi. Of course there will be the conflict between Gauri and Omkara Singh Oberoi (Fingers crossed for Omkara to be reminded of his old self while talking to Gauri) but I really want an inner conflict of ideologies.
PS - I tell you, being an Omkara fan is the worst thing that can happen to anyone. First the creator of the character is such a person who has never done any other character than angry young men and bubbly girls. Then there is the fact that Omkara is unique which makes him a lab rat and his fans lab rat audience. Then you have to bear tracks which are not thought out because the writers are clueless on how to deal with this new character. You will also have to see his love story getting ruined and then scrapped. Then You have to bear him being a hot wall paper for months without a story line and now when they are actually showing him in the lime light you find that everything you love about the guy is being taken away😆
