I hope you're right. I want them on the same bed soon enough.

The phrase I was searching for is sati savitri. You know how it's also used sarcastically these days. I didn't mean pavitra in the strictest sense. But serials have this weird fascination with maintaining IZZAT even after marriage.

Yes, Kastur and Mohan have already slept on the same bed. But from Kastur's point of view, she was sharing it with Mohan who loved her. Now it's become a marriage without hope or expectations, and one where she knows he doesn't love her.

Do I personally think this warrants sleeping separately? No. But I don't know how the powers that be think, or what they think the audience wants to see.🤢

I hope my worries are unwarranted. After all, they've already slept on the same bed for a bunch of days. I hope they go back to sleeping on the same bed soon. Once she's a bit more okay in that space, and he tries his best to convince her not to sleep separately. He is still her husband, she his wife. That's her rightful place, love or no love.

Lol, Sati Savitri...yeah, I know what you mean...but the izzat question seems to come into play when there has been a past incident with a female character...in Kastur's case this would be irrelevant as her 'past' had to do with pencil box wala 😆 who gave her a pencil box, and nothing else...😆😆

The way Kastur is portrayed, she is a sati savitri type in that she is willing to do anything (seemingly blindly) for her husband...yeah, she would jump into his pyre if that were necessary...she has been in cahoots with Mohan on everything he has asked her to do...

Thats why I don't understand why she has a problem with sleeping on the bed. She is still married to the guy; and as you mentioned, sleeping on the bed does not automatically mean getting physical. And more importantly, Mohan has never said he does not care for her. In fact, I thought she was going a bit too far when she said 'aapke dil mein mere liye koi jage nahi hai'--how does she know this? Just because he does not love her does not mean they start at square one...Mohan tried to explain his thinking to her, but she went off on her dosti karoge bit...Kastur is basically in this all or nothing mode, and I don't agree with this...& so yeah, she will have to think it thru & maybe even have to listen to Mohan's perspective before she can come to terms with all of it, including sleeping on the bed...

I think Saroj's words may have had more of an effect in that regard.

True...but it would be valid if she heard it from the horse's mouth, rather than the 🤬 's mouth... 🤢 😡

Nothing much Bidzy. Still going on that they should share the bed again soon. 😃 It's her rightful place, love or no love. She's his wife.

Also that Saroj's words may have affected Kastur a lot more, and influenced her decision to sleep separately. (I do think her emotional shock and hurt has a lot to do with it too.)

Well, think from her POV. Right now, she is emotionally hurt.. very hurt 😔 Her MIL said all crap to her🤢 but she's still trying to come out of the shock she got from Mohan She doesn't show but she's a lot affected😭 After everything happened, isn't it right from her perspective not to show right on anything related to Mohan which includes the bed part too? She already said to Mohan that whether he loves her or not, they are bonded by a relationship, and only for the sake of that, she's still trying to be strong and behave normal!! So I don't think that she did wrong as she was just being herself!!

Yeah I understand her doing so right now. But I don't think it should go on. The posts aren't that long, but after your last post we go into it. 😆 And basically discuss and explain why we think she should eventually sleep on the bed.

She is still his wife. And she herself admitted that Mohan has accepted her as his wife, hence she's content. Her place is not on the sofa or on the floor.

I know I was going to get to it on Monday. I'm too lazy to use my brain this weekend. (And for me I do need to use it. I'm not complaining at all, it helps my comprehension skills. But yeah I just don't want to put effort into anything right now. 😆)
