Janmashtami, a celebration time for all daily soaps on television...

It is the festive season and we have festivals coming up back to back. Today as all know is Janmashtami and the most notorious and the lovable Lord Krishna was born today. TellyBuzz hereby wishes all its readers and members across the world A Very Happy Janmashtami.

Have you got any idea who is the most benefited during festive season? Well we can say the makers and the actors associated with a daily soap. Wondering why? Because, they can stretch their episodes with pompous decorations and celebrations showing the rituals. Also the season is a good opportunity to display the best of costumes and jewellery for the ladies sections.

Since it is Janmashtami, we have several shows that celebrate the festival with pomp and pride; Chhoti Bahu - Sawar Ke Rang Rachi (Zee TV), Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (SAB TV) and Beend Banoongaa Ghodi Chadhunga (Imagine). In fact, Imagine's new show Dharampatni began on the note of Janmashtami.

The festival does pave way for more creativity and open up the opportunities to bring in the best in the creative minds. The competition is high during such times as every show has to portray the festival in the most unique way possible. After all, it's just one festival and a number of shows to celebrate it. Certain shows make use of the situation and create a maha episode by merging the other shows of the channel. Some invite other television stars to perform for the festival. Certain shows use Krishna's blessings to bring out the darkest truth out of the vamps of the show. And some bring in the highest turning point in the show and make the leads fall in love. There are several options that lie in front of the creative team of the show.

Well, amidst all this, we must say that the shows indeed have a great hand in spreading the tradition and cultural values throughout the country and the world. For example, for people in Kerala and Tamil Nadu, it is just another festival where we get a holiday, obviously, and people keep a fast. Dahi Handi in this festival is one of the most awaited in North, but there is no Dahi Handi there, can you believe it! For the natives there, Dahi Handi and the swinging of Krishna in the cradle are all amusing aspects of the festival and new to them which they definitely would give a try. Wow, am I sounding like a festival expert here?

Well, I have learnt a lot from watching shows. In that sense let's call daily soaps culture-infotainment?

In Imagine's Dharmpatni, Kastur is looking forward to the return of her fianc and dream man Mohan and in a dream sequence she will sing and dance with Mohan while awaiting his return to the song - natkhat bansi wale gokul ke raja. Meanwhile Mohan's entry will be shown in the show as he lands at an airport.

Kastur (Asiya Kazi) is madly in love with Mohan (Harshad Chopda) in Dharampatni on Imagine TV and the love shows in her eyes. Kastur dreams about marrying Mohan and imagines his presence everywhere. Harshad Chopda has entered Imagine's 'Dharampatni' with a new cool-dude look and his co-star Asiya Kazi can't help rave about it. She says, "He is looking so good that now girls will throng the sets to catch a glimpse of him." Harshad, though loving the attention, blushed and returned her compliment. "Asiya too is looking good. And she has been waiting for her Mohan in the show for years now. Watch out for some drama between them, some startling twists and rocking chemistry."

Is Aasiya the perfect match for Harshad?

Harshad was born on May 17 which makes him a Number 8 (Saturn) person in numerology. He is a Taurean ruled by Number 6 (Venus) and Number 7 (Ketu). Since he is ruled by Ketu he is automatically ruled by Number 2 (Moon) as these two numbers always go hand in hand.

On the other hand, Aasiya is doubly ruled by Number 3 (Jupiter – December 12) being a Sagittarian and her destiny number adds up to Number 9 (Mars).

Numbers 3 and 8 usually have a love–hate kind of a relationship and hence they get along well when the time is good; but difference of opinion and clashes are clearly observed in the long run. Also they do not share any common numbers between them and so their compatibility on screen is just plain average.

But the serial Dharampatni is vibrating on Number 36 which is a powerful octave of Number 9 and can act as a silver lining. However, the duo should remain a couple only in reel life.

More surprises for Mohan (Harshad Chopda) in the upcoming episodes ofDharampatni as he will get to know that his marriage was fixed with Kastur (Aasiya Kazi) in the childhood. He will also learn that Kastur's father provided financial assistance for his higher studies in UK.

A source says, "Mohan was unaware about his marriage being fixed with Kastur in the childhood but in the upcoming episodes he will learn about it. This will come as a shock for Mohan and his mother. Only few members of the family knew about the marriage. Hence both Mohan and his mother will oppose the wedding. This will be the moment when Mohan will come to know that Kastur's father helped him financially for his higher studies. In the near future Mohan might face a financial crisis and will require money to set up his business hence he will agree to marry Kastur. But the creative team is yet to finalise the track"

Aasiya Kazi remained unavailable for comment.

Imagine TV's newly launched show; Dharampatni is undergoing some interesting twists. So far we have seen that Mohan (Harshad Chopra) is back to his native place after completing his studies in London. After being there for such a long period of time, he has changed a lot.

Though he is back with his family but he is way too far from accepting his roots and the culture that enfolds him. In the coming episodes he will have more surprises waiting for him. He will get to know that his marriage was fixed with Kastur (Aasiya Kazi) in the childhood. He will also learn that Kastur's father provided financial assistance for his higher studies in UK.

Kastur to face a condition laid by Saroj in Dharampatni!

As of now Kastur (Aasiya Kazi) might be feeling vey happy owing to the fact that Mohan (Harshad Chopra) has agreed to get married to her. For her it is like a dream come true but little does she know that life won't be a bed of rose henceforth.

Yes, the upcoming episodes of Imagine's Dharampatni are set to bring in major changes in the life of Kastur.

As per a source, "Mohan is getting married to Kastur to get out of financial crisis. However, Kastur and Bapji are not aware of Mohan's hidden agenda and assume that his decision is a genuine one. In the earlier episode Bapji had given Mohan his locker keys to take money and use it for the wedding. But he went ahead and stole money from the locker. However later Mohan realized his mistake and kept the stolen money back in the locker".

The source further tells that Mohan's mother Saroj, who is not happy with this marriage, will not come for the engagement ceremony after getting into a tiff with her family. Kastur will come to know of this and she will head to call Saroj for the ceremony.

However, she will have to face a condition laid down by Saroj for attending the ritual! This is said to bring a major change in Kastur's life. So stay tuned to know what Saroj's condition will be.
