Prithvi may have been soft hearted but Veer loves just as deeply too. He loves Dharam so much he is incomplete away from him. He still sees him as a brother despite the fact they are on opposing sides now. Not only Dharam but Veers love for Nivriti is uncomparable too and his love for his people the Shramik knows no bounds as well. He is determined to give them Freedom. He left his brother and mother for these people proving just how Honourable and Compassionate Veer is. He left a good life a successful easy life for the life of hardship and instability all for ensuring that his people receive Freedom.
As for the love Veer has for Shera: If Veer didnt love Shera so much he would not now be in so much emotional upheaval, he wouldnt be so angry with her, he wouldnt hate her actions so passionately and he wouldnt feel so betrayed by her deception. It is his love for her that makes him feel like this. And now when he only has Shera to lean on, only Shera is helping him he is feeling his love for her even more strongly than before and this once again is making him feel wretched and anguished because he is supposed to HATE her not LOVE her.
Indeed Veer is very soft hearted but he is trying to hide his compassion behind a mask of indifference because he feels that this is the only way he will be able to accept and survive this new hand that Fate has dealt him.
Again this proves how complex Veers character is and Rajat is definitely better suited to act Veers character because it just emphasises his excellent acting skills and is helping to develop and improve his acting ability.

Sorry frnds for being so late.
I am here to support veer.

First of all, as many of my frnds hv said,veer's character is more stronger than prithvi and i completely agree with them.Let's compare prithvi with veer.
1.As the only son of Kng Someshwar,prithvi was a responsible and a matred person right frm the beginning.He knew after he grows up,he has to become the king of ajmer and therefore was a matured kind of a human being right frm his teenage days.Veer always lead a carefree life.As he was the youngest of all three brothers,he didn't had much responsibilities on his shoulders.His only responsibility was to protect and take care of his beloved brother and best frnd,Dharam.
Secondly,prithvi was an ambitious person.His ambition was to become a good ruler.Veer never had any such ambition for himself.Probably,his only dream was to see his brother,dharam on the throne of aryanagar.That's the reason when the rajya sabha head declared veer to be eligible for the throne of aryanagar,he was unwilling to accept it but when dharam and nivriti convinced him,he agreed.He never had this dream to become aryanagar's king.He competed with dharam for the throne in rajvidya ashram just to prove his ideals and thoughts are right too.
Thirdly,there was never a major change in prithvi's life.He was born in a royal family,was considered a royal all trough his life and died as a king.Whereas,veer was born in a shramik family but due to certain circumstances,was brought up by aryavrats.His life was full of luxuries and comforts.He was a naughty,happy go lucky person who lived his life to the fullest.But slowly,transformation took place in his character,behaviour and thinking due to certain circumstances.When dharam was falsely accused of killing agni,he fought against everyone,his uncle,the rajya sabha to prove his brother innocent.This time,his maturity started coming out.He realized that not all rules and traditions are for the welfare of humankind and therefore decided to break such rules and traditions.There has never been any such incident in prithvi's life where he went against the administration or the rules,probably b'coz everything was fine and he himself made many rules which are good for everybody's welfare.When veer came to know the truth of his birth,he decided to leave the aryavrats,specially dharam not b'coz he started hating them.He knew now finally he got a mission to accomplish fr which he was born.If he would hv been just a shramik,he would hv never left his family,but no,he is shramiks messiah who has to give them independence frm the aryavrats,give them back their lost rights and izzat so therefore he made this very big and the most toughest of his life to leave his family,his darling brother,his lovely mother and went to shramiks.And this makes veer more important than prithvi.That's why I feel veer's character is more challenging than prithvi.In prc,rajat played the role of a royal person whereas in dv,in the beginning he played the role of a naughty,funny,cute prince and now he is playing a serious,responsible shramik.And i must say,rajat has given full justice to both the veers,i mean, prince veer as well as messiah veer.
Regarding the awards,yes,rajat has won many awards for his role as prithvi but he will win even more awards for his role as veer.Till now,rajat has won awards for child actor and only one award for best actor,but for this role he will win many more awards for best actor.
Lastly,coming to love interests,here too there is lot of difference.Prithvi loved a sweet princess called Sanyogita whereas veer loved a cruel dakoo called Shera.I personally feel,prithvi sanyo love story was not much developed when rt and mc were there.There was cuteness in their love story whereas veer shera love story is far more matured than prithvi sanyo.Sanyo was also the same frm the beginning till the end whereas veer transformed shera's life,changed her views and thinking,made her realize what is right and wrong,teached her to differentiate btw good and bad.When prithvi came to know the real identity of sanyo,he accepted her that's due to the circumstances when the truth come out whereas as shera is a dakoo and she ha committed a lot of crimes and hid this frm veer,veer found it hard to accept her the way she was and forgive her.But that doesn't mean he hates her or forgot her.He still loves shera but has not yet realized it.And now,slowly he is forgiving her as he is coming to know shera is a good person even if she is a dakoo.That's why he said in thursday's episode,"main to bhool gaya tha ki...."He wanted to say "tum dakoo ho."I am very sure veer will completely forgive her and accept her very soon.

Sanyogita was not PRCs enemy, her father was PRCs enemy. PRC had no problem as such with Sanyogita in fact in Prithvi Raj Chauhan the opposite is true. Sanyogita felt betrayed by PRC and was experiancing the same emotional turmoil as what Veer is facing in the face of Sheras betrayal. The situations are reversed in both dramas.

PRC was ready to leave Delhi's throne for Sanyogita bcoz he loved her so much....If there was any other king in place of PRC maybe he would prefer throne instead of his love.
