I'm thinking that it's not so much an issue with Vidyut, but rather that makers didn't anticipate the love for Abhay and Abhika. They decided to focus on Vipika and relegate Abhay to platonic friend, which would've still been ok, but they didn't write any further story for him. Then with the extension I think they got idea of Nikhil at last minute, so they basically gave him all of Abhay's lines and screen space. That's why there are similar scenes and plot lines to Abhika and Nikhil seems like a sasta copy of Abhay. I don't think it was initially meant to be like this. I believe it was supposed to end with Deepika and Abhay single, with her being head of ER and him leaving to join his father, like how episode 65 ended. But they were supposed to end Abhika friendship and maybe potential for something more on a strong note, not like this weak sendoff. Otherwise how does it make sense that Abhika's bond was so close, then as soon as Nikhil enters the two barely interact. The Abhay that shed tears for Deepika acts no different to her than any other resident. The Deepika that always chose Abhay to assist her now avoids working or even consulting with him. Like wth.

I just saw the precap for tomorrow on YT after somebody mentioned it here to watch it as it seems off..My reaction after seeing the precap was exactly this👇

I mean, what was that?🤣 No leap or anything..nd Deepika fell for Nikhil in few days????? 🤣 Shaadi k pehle leap dikha de yeh log apne bachi-kuchi izzat bachaane k liye! 🙏 Both Deepika nd Sia seem to be obsessed with guys..Kuch bhi hojaye, they need a guy in their life in every phase of their lives! 🤮 I remember, Haal-e-dil nd I, we both once ranted about nd cursed these two women like crazy..I guess we were absolutely right in judging their character! 🤮

PS- Sid nd Additi literally have no chemistry..a big zero!

i am more irritated at the new lady whos the 'friend' and has nthing to do bt set her up with another man. a woman's worth , at the end of the day, is really to marry and settle down. society tries to tell her 'oh its cause someone shouldnt be alone', bt its just woman needs to marry and make babies.🤢 deepika is kinda like every woman in their 20s fending of questions on shadi kab karoge
