Re Tandava:

I think there are several types, but off hand I can remember only two Ananda Tandava and Rudra Tandava. One is Joyful and the other is violent/angry.

For some reason, whenever the Tandav is mentioned everyone only remembers the Rudra Tandava. Whereas, the Ananda Tandava also is attributed to Lord Shiva and this is the dance he performs when he is calm - projecting 'ananda' into the world.

So the logic of Mahahev teaching Rudra Tandava to Natacharya, in the first place, is all over the place. But as someone pointed out to me a little while ago, DKDM and logic do not know each other.

The "stand-out" moments for me in last night's episode were--

1} The first few moments of the musical face-off... It began on such a positive & exuberant note,that it built a momentum in my mind... Quite unfortunate that the rest of the face-off fell flat on its face...

2} Mohit Raina's expressions to indicate that Mahadev felt drawn to the music emanating from the musical sangram. 👏

3} The background music to which Shiva danced. 👏

4} The Shiva Tandava Stotram.

I cannot believe that they made Lohitang dance in that outlandish costume 🤢... When he appeared at the battlefield wearing the atrocious outfit, I thought to myself that maybe he'll change into something resplendent & magnanimous to go well with the beautiful dance that the Tandav really is ... The only consolation is he didn't actually do anything elaborate in terms of the dance

Wonder why the Mother of all creativity (Devi Parvati, of course ) chose to be a bystander in this "epic" war 😕...Something big in the offing for her, perhaps ❓

One thing I could never really wrap my head around is, why is the Tandava dance almost always associated with death & destruction ?? Isn't there a pleasant facet to it ??? 😕

😲agree with you rinall, the episode started -off very well and i was enjoying the challenges of lohitang to the musicians , and their karaara-jawaab to his challenge. everyone's expressions were worth-watching , starting from lohitang, saraswati, kartikeya, ganesh, devi lakshmi, nandi , narad and special mention--the ganprets🤣mahadev again mesmerized us with his soothing expressions , when he was drawn towards the beauty of music👏the shiv-tandav-strotam made the episode complete almost, but the dance-sequence lacked the compactness.aananda tandav karte karte limit cross ho gaya aur tandav of destruction ban gaya, as it was required for lohu to realise, which could be made possible only when prithvi devi faints. overall ,it was an entertaining episode.😊

😲lohitang's dance in that vichitra costume was better than what we all expected, and the reason is that he actually did nothing during the dance sequence, except for jumping left and right , and in some s sequences, only his his leg movements were shown. trust me, it was actually good for him, because zyada energetic tandav karta, toh uske costume phat jaate nonetheless, his expressions during the challenge sequence between lohitang and clones and mahadev's musicians were mindblowing😉he was playing the instruments with a wicked smile, and everyone from mahadev's group giving him karaara jawaab, it was too good🤣
