Devi Parvati & Mahadev's relationship is much deeper & goes beyond the realms of any human relationship. Why portray them in mythological stories and serials with traits confined to human beings ?
In fact , the portrayal of Devi Parvati in many mythological stories and serials (including DKDM) is downright puerile & disparaging; not to forget, utterly impious.

Ah, but this story is in Shiva Purana, and you must not forget, Bhairava looked at her and her beauty and other such things☺️, when she was like his mother... you get the point don't you?

I get that, dear. My point is, Adi-Shakthi would not get angry with her husband just because she lost in a game. As for her anger towards Bhairav, that is justified.

Well she is Adishakti but she is also a wife and a mother.

U have to read certain scriptures or texts which even am not so good at to understand these complex forms of Adishakti.

Shiv is always in state of calm and detached where Parvati is more attached...Read this, "Shiva has the capacity to remain independent of this world, independent of the many dramas and forces of life, and even independent from Shakti. While the nature of Shakti is to be involved. Her nature is embrace everything and involve Herself in it all. Woman has a natural tendency to embrace life and others with enfolding love and to be caringly involved with the many aspects of creative life. This tendency comes from Shakti. Man can, of course, also embrace with love and be involved. Yet man has an additional tendency to sometimes detach himself from involvement and embrace, or to sometimes seek independence and freedom from involvement. This comes from the nature of Shiva. A general tendency of man is to acquire Shiva qualities, while a woman acquires Shakti qualities, but both man and woman can potentially acquire qualities from both Shiva and Shakti"

Their differences is what creates balance in Shrishti hope am able to convey what u are looking for. 😊

@anubharad-----
Yes you have & thanks a lot for that 😊. But I guess it's just not easy to understand the ways of God. either that, or we ourselves have made our lives & minds so complicated, that to understand simple facts seems an insurmountable task 😕

Shakti means power. Even Shivji is incompelete without her. Parvati as Aadi Shakti is a powerful Kinetic energy. No one except Shivji has capacity to stop her. She is Ichha Shakti, Gyan Shakti, Kriya Shakti swaroopini.
Bhairav misunderstood her. He thought she needs to be protected where as Shivji had ordered him to protect Kailash. If anyone trys to stop a force, power with his limited capacities, will get ruined or destroyed. Bhairav too acted arrogant & paid for his mistake.
She can be calmed down by a child, who calls her as a mother.
To understand how the real Aadi Shakti acts, one has to understand the Shakti principle, her various aspects.
In life understanding both the SHiv & Shakti is required. Without accepting, Lord Shiv's qualities one doesn't get the capacity to hold the Shakti one gets through hard work, penance.
These stories just explains how the power, position achieved by penance can get lost due to some stupid mistake one makes.

Strange!.. I actually fail to understand y anyone would find it hard to believe that gods could b cursed n more importantly Shiva could "cheat".. bcoz there r numerous instances of it n our mythologies n legends..

Gods r cursing n cursed themselves left right n centre in our mythologies.. be it Parvati, Mahadev, Krishna, Bhrahma,Ganga,Indra..most of them r cursed for one thing or another n r cursing for some reason or other (Parvati usually does the cursing..lol..😆..may b bcoz she is adishakthi..but yeah she has been on the receiving end of it too..n that may b bcoz she is a human (but later attains godhood anyways) incarnation of adishakthi)..
N as for Shiva's cheating, there r numerous instances there too..Shiva n Indra together personify Zeus of Greek mythology.. n he has a very rangila character too..😉..I agree nobody will b surprised if Indra does something like that ( which he did once BTW n I think he got cursed for it too😃).. but Shiva, a brahmachari yogi hermit, n later a 'one woman one man' family man doing such a thing can b a bit shocker for people..😲..however, there r various instances of it too..infact he is actually regarded as a mad man with crazy temper n immense sexual appetite which only Parvati (n to certain extent Vishnu..ahem..ahem..😆) is capable of subduing ..there r stories n legends of goddess Manasa n Lord Ayyappa born out of Shiva's lust n Parvati has no role in it..Dkdm did show Ayyappa story but again they had their own version so as to not harm the image of mahadev..here he was seen seeking permission of Parvati n Lakshmi to ahem...ahem..create a baby with Vishnu's Mohini avatar..Parvati herself was shown to b waiting for the birth of Ayyappa bcoz she is imprisoned in her Bhramari avatar by Mahishi(n as far as I know mahishi never had anything to do with Bhramari devi..trust me wen I say this coz m from Kerala ..n people in Kerala grow up listening to Ayyappa stories n going to shabarimala for Ayyappa darshan).. in the original version however Shiva requested Vishnu to c his Mohini avatar..Vishnu warns Shiva that he might not b able to control himself..at this statement Shiva insists even more bcoz he is siddha yogi n can very well control himself.. n wen Mohini finally appears , all that yogi stuff is out of the window n in comes terrible lust..😲..he actually chases Mohini n she runs away from him for the sake of her dear life..seeing all this parvati hangs her head in shame..Shiva finally copulates with Mohini..n it is said that since Mohini does not have real womb, Shiva's semen fell on her thigh n Ayyappa was born..out of shame, Mohini abandons her son at pamba river n then the rest of the legend follows..another, folk story of goddess manasa shows both Shiva n Parvati in a negative light.. manasa is step daughter of Parvati..n it is said that she hates her step mother n for a good reason too..manasa was born wen Shiva's semen touched a stachue (or something like that.. not sure though..but parvati was not the mother but Shiva was definitely her father).. anyways, she grows up knowing that Shiva is her father but somehow Shiva is unaware of his grown up daughter..one day Shiva sees grown up manasa n is over come with lust..manasa somehow manages to make him c how wrong it would b since she is his daughter. Shiva realizes his mistake n invites her to kailash..at kailash however parvati mistakes manasa to b her sautan n actually kicks her or blinds her in the eye..manasa is deeply hurt by such a treatment at kailash, Shiva is also sad n gives her a boon that she will b worshipped as a snake goddess ..n to this day manasa is worshipped by some tribal people for snake bite cure n other prosperity.. infact, goddess manasa n goddess santoshi (who is relatively a modern goddess) r the only two goddesses in Hinduism who have nothing to do with adishakthi.. all other goddesses ( n even gods) r actually partial expansions of adishakthi herself..

Anyways, as pointed out by members of the forum earlier that whatever b the curse or deeds of gods, it always leads to a greater good..n yes in all such instances it always leads to something beautiful, blissful n eternal in the end..as they say, its all their 'leela'..😃

@Akash, yes we keep cursing everyone. Agree.
Even then, Shiva doesn't usually cheat. The instances you quoted are not of Shiva "cheating", its just, from a Krishna-devotee perspective, he fell for Vishnumaya. Ya, I know the story of Shiva running madly behind Mohini and Parvati watching him with a shocked expression. They didn't do justice to Ayyappa. Just leave that. Sometimes you have to just not think about certain tracks in DKDM.

Also, Zeus is a mixture of Indra, Vishnu, Brahma and Krishna, but not Shiva. Hera is a mixture of Lakshmi and Radha, and Athena is Saraswati, who came from Brahma's mind (Athena sprung from his skull).

I don't know where you read that Mahadeva is a "mad man with crazy temper n immense sexual appetite🤢" because he is one of the gods with most restraint. The only exception being Mohini. Trust me, he didn't even fall for Parvati. That was a really difficult process. It happened after a great struggle. So the only case where Mahadev lost it is Mohini, but that is not the point.
The point is, Mahadev cheating was apalling. But as you said, it is all the leela of Bhagavan.

Mahadev- Mohini's child was required to kill Mahishi. Many falklores depict a story that suits a sect or a group of devotees. It comes from the tendency of showing whom they pray, believe is greater then other's. All the Puranas depict the story portraying one Deity as greater then others. Same story has different versions in different Puranas.
If Mahadev was lustful, he wouldn't have burnt Kamdev. He is known as Maha Yogi not Maha bhogi. 😆
