Sia, It is taking me a while to be familiar with the format of the forum and website in general.
Two questions for you which will seem very basic. What does Devon Ke Dev mean or refer to?

And is there anything in the Parunas that refer to Shiva as being 'different' than Brahma and Vishnu. Other than 'traveling through consciousness' we never see Mahadev 'going Up to visit' Brahma and Vishnu. They always come down to him.

Blessings - Debra

Devon Ke Dev- is the God of the gods (devtas.. basically the supreme one)

Each purana- be it Visnhu purana or Shiv is kinda biased to its deity and boost the same.. its not that one has upper hand.(from what I have read from my fellow members abt the same)
HOwever check Minudi's post below..she is the best person to explian the depth it..

Thanks a ton Minu di for taking time and sharing the knowledge.🤗

Hello Debralemore,
Mahadev's role is destruction. He destroys -ve qualities, unhappiness, sorrow of his devotee. The final goal of a soul is to attain the Supreme Consciousness. It's also known as from Jeeva to Shiva. Brhmaji is the creator. Vishnuji is the preserver. A soul after being born gets entangled in the web of various ambitions, achievements etc of life. Mahadev is Mahayogi, as well as he has a family. He balances both the sides well. He is respected for many qualiteis.
All the Deities are respected for the role they play in theis World & in Human's life.
Mahadev too goes to meet Vishnuji & Brhmaji. All Trideva meet at another place too, for an important discussion.
If you are interested in the stories about Shivji, you can read Puranas. For Spiritual understanding about him & Shakti, try to get " The Shiv-Sutra Vimarsini ", book. Though it may take several readings & meditations to understand some aspects of it.
This show combines Shivji's teachings along with various stories so the visual medium, makes it easy to get a person interested.
You can read online Shiv Puran too. The link along with some knowledgable articles posted in past is given here in the 2nd post.

Thank you mnx12 for your response. I had just written you a long repsonse which included a link for a great translation of portions of the Shiv-Sutra Vimarsini book. When I clicked to send the post, I received a message that Newbies are not allowed to post links and the program erased my entire message !! At what point is one not a Newbie? I would like to change my Username and it won't allow me to do that unless I am a senior member.

I have ready many of your posts in addition to the information attached to the links you have posted. Thank you so much for doing this. It does take a lot of time and dedication.

I found two Shiv-Sutra Vimarsini translated books however I have not located a source of purchase for them. I did find online what looks like a super translation for the first 45 Aphorisms. There is a pure English version and also a translation in English having all the key Sanskrit words in red following the English words. Also Included on the site are the translations for the Shiva Sutras as well. I will not type out the link! Google Search: Sanskrit & Sanserito That is the name of the site. Then go to Scriptures and you will see the Shiva Sutra Vimarshini. Also go to Tika Scriptures on the site to see the Shiva Sutras.

I would like to take the liberty to ask here a couple of questions about this Forum site. I apologize if this is not the correct location for these questions.

1. On your post from today, you wrote to click on the banner as it is Active - however when I did that nothing happened. Do I need to see them larger in a different location?

2. On the bottom of some posts, there is a message that reads **Banner Signatures viewable to members only with Video Avatar and Signature Banner options". What is that about?

3. Along with the Daily Updates, there is a link for viewing the Video. I have not had luck seeing anything from this link. Usually pop-ups come up for me to download something first however they look suspicious. Also the text for the link reads 'Eng subs Links' If there is a video available, are they the full episode of the day? I know that Eng subs probably does not mean English subtitles?

Thank you in advance for responding to my questions.

Debra,
Online Shiv-Sutra Vimarsini is awailable on some sites. Understanding the Trik system makes it easier to grasp the Shiv-Sutras. There may be a book awailable on Amazon. In case you can't get the book, online site does the work.
Don't change your username. Check this to know about IF ladder group.

This may help you to understand about IF

1) This is in the Banner Contest. Magnifying it may help.
2)Answer is in the above link.
3)Videos are blocked in some countries, that may be the reason you are not able to view them. They are with English subtitles. They contain the entire epi.
You are welcome😊

Thank you for the info. I got the Video Player to work!! I did have to remove Virus threats however the Videos work - going all the way back to the beginning!🥳I have days to spend catching up! .. And will also spend time exploring the format of the Forum website.

I found another great website with so much information. It is overwhelming. Since I cannot type the html link, it is www.shaivam with a .org. Last night I was reading that even Brahma and Vishnu worship the Lingam and examples were given of Vishnu Temples in India having the Lingam and examples were given regarding Brahma's devotion, etc.

Quote: "All gods owe their various powers to the grace of God Siva. Brahma's creative power, Vishnu's power of vanquishing the demons. Indra's lordship over Svarga are all fruits of the worship of Siva. Siva is the Perception of all gods. He is Greater than the great. In the Siva-dharma Sastra, the following account is given:

i.e., all gods obtained their respective duties through the Lord's favour earned by the worship they offered to Him in the Linga form of various metals. Refer to chapter IV of the Siva Ratnakara (Warad series).

Not only are all gods are described as always worshipping the Lingam, but they are also said to wear the Lingam through utter devotion.

Har-Har Mahadev!

Blessings

❤️
