I don't claim to have watched all episodes of this show...just watched a few episodes recently, but enough so that I can judge the acting potentials/characters of all ... and also, gives me the advantage of being a non-biased viewer,,and my observation is this -
No doubt, Sat-Mahadev looked more passiobate and totally in love young couple...but thats more so, because in their relationship, sati was always the child while mahadev was the father, there was no equality in their relationship, I found her character pretty child-like to be honest ..I don't know if it is described so in our mythology as well.. also, it is the first time mahadev has felt all the worldly pleasures, so I think that's how he was supposed to react...and she was just infatuated by his mere presense and was not aware of herself as a reincarnation of adishakti.. they were enchanted just by each other's mere presence and couldn't wait to discovere more.. sati always had plenty to learn from mahadev, while it never reciprocated..
from the moment parvati entered the screen one could see the thehraav in the character..the poise, the maturity with which she conducts herself..the confidence she has in herself and her relationship...and theirs is a relationship of equals..a relationship of two individuals who have been with each other for a long time and are content just with each other's presence and do not need anything more..she has accepted her true form, is strong enough to carry out the duties entrusted to her and is not afraid to tell mahadev he is wrong when time be.,.and also impart some of her knowledge to him..
This is the difference between the two characters and the two relationships and unless there is another offscreen angle to it, I see no other reason why mouni roy should be more compatible to mohit raina than sonarika..
