I have made this post to share my views that all - not for any purpose of putting anyone down. I feel Mouni had better chemistry with mohit that all not putting down sonarika as an actress

No offence intended but Janaki, you yourself said that you didn't even watch the show, at least not regularly. There was plenty of devotional scenes between Shiv and Sati:

The first time Sati sees Shiv
Mahadev playing the veena and Sati dancing
Both Shiv and Sati dancing at Vasantutsov
When Shiv and Sati talk after Shivratri
When Shiv protects Sati in the shamshaan
Shiv as Jataa trying to help Sati
Their wedding!!
Adishakti scene
And quite a few more!

The point is just because you're not a fan of Mouni doesn't mean that their "romance scenes lacked divinity". Rightly said I'm not, nor will ever be a Sonarika fan, but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate what she's done for this show and what the show has done for her by developing her into a real actress.
Mouni was never given a chance to interact with kids on the show, so its totally null and void saying things like she's not motherly and doesn't have affection. How can you tell if you haven't seen her interact with kids? Incidently she's amazing with children which I can honestly say after having seen her onscreen and offscreen with children.
Parvati for me has to have that command in her voice and mannerisms that (as far as I could see) Sonarika didn't have. Imo her chemistry with Mohit was pretty wooden, but again only my opinion, I'm not stating these things as facts like others here.
Let's hope Pooja does a good job as Parvati now and stop all these comparisons!

completely agree with you but we cant ignore the fact that sonarika is doing a good job too but I still feel shiv sati part was the most beautiful part of Mahadev i must say. NO offence to Sonarika fans. I understand your feeling because i am a fan too :-)

I know... I also thought that the Sati-Shiv / Mouni-Mohit chemistry was better... Not that Sonarika is not good, I really like her as Parvati... But Shiv-Sati was something else...<3

I'm sorry if I offended anyone with my statement, but I was merely expressing my opinion here like everyone else who has been saying that Mouni was better than Sonarika. I don't see how my comment was any worse. 😕 I never even bashed Mouni, I just said I liked Sonarika better as Adi Shakti.

@Bhavani,

To be honest, I actually watched a lot more of the Sati phase than I did Parvati. I followed the show pretty regularly up till Ganesh's birth. Of course, I did not see every episode, but I did see a good number, enough to judge the show and its actors. After Ganesh's birth, i became more irregular.

I have not said that Sati-Shiv had no devotional scenes. Of course they did. There are plenty of scenes which I liked during the Sati phase, but I was just saying that there were also some filmy romantic scenes which I did not like, like Sati fainting in Shiv's arms, Shiv visiting Sati by her bed before marriage, etc. These scenes may have contributed to Mohit and Mouni being a "sizzling" pair, but they are not something I like seeing in mythological shows.

Anyway, I never said I wasn't a Mouni fan either. I am rather indifferent towards her. Her portrayal of Sati was overall good, as I mentioned already, but in comparison to Sonarika I like the latter better. I'm sure that's not wrong. 😊 As for saying Mouni wouldn't be good with children, it was just a generic observation and not intended to hurt anyone. If it did hurt anyone, then I do sincerely apologize. 😳 You're right. Mouni had no scenes with children in the show, so I cannot determine that she would have been a bad onscreen mother, but I was just judging by appearances alone. She's a very youthful looking actress and looks quite young to be a mom, that's what I mean. Even Sonarika looks young, but IMO she has that maternal glow to her face. It doesn't mean Sonarika is a better onscreen mother than Mouni, but based on appearances alone, I could not picture Mouni as a mother. It's more a compliment to her than an insult. 😉

One more thing. I don't think anyone here was stating anything as a fact. 😕 Everything everyone has posted was opinion only, just like yours. Even I posted what I did based on my opinion. I just don't think there was any reason for anyone to get so defensive.😳 In fact, this whole topic is pretty useless, as neither Mouni nor Sonarika are a part of the show anymore. 🥱
