A Mahan BHakta shows his Mahanta through actions, not boasting. This has been demonstrated by Lord KRishna himself. And Ravan is no exception. Mahan Bhakt, my foot. He is one useless undeserving bhakt. Out of all the great sould like, Nandi, Rishi Dadhichi, Rishi Atri, Shukracharya, why did Mahadev choose this idiot?
But even then you cannot call Ravan Gay of all things! If he way that, he wouldn't have kidnapped Sita no? He would have kidnapped Rama!! Maybe obsessive and spoilt BHakta would be a better adjective...
Now here comes the big question: O gyaani members, please tell whether all this is there in the real version of Ramayana or SHiva Purana or such.

Hahaha.. Minaxi.. really.. I lost count...!! 😆
Its almost the same time..where he says " Mahadev" ( with a SIGH ) 😆

It was more of his obsession/selfishness in the name of Bhakti.. rightly said by Parvati.. His arrogance is crossing limits.. for today...he indirectly told Parvati that he and only he can (Mahan Bhakt) can understand Mahadev and nobody else...!!

Also he keeps on insulting Nandi too much..(and how come Mahadev has no reaction on this one??? ) 😕

Mahadev is not so Bholenath also.. he smartly kept the condition..!! 😆

there are many people.. who do not understand difference between true bhakti and bhakti included arrogance..
true bhakti is similar to bhakti of nandi, prahlada, meerabai, arjuna..
but bhakti included arrogance is also a form of bhakti but those people.. have the attitude.. like they are the best and no 1 is important or no1 can pray their god other than themselves...
ex. ravan offcourse..
there have been, there are and there will always be such people...
so its not a new concept.. bhakti mein haat karna.. which is none other than adamancy..

@surya, after this epi. I remembered the 1st Ramayan's (Ramanand Sagar's) Ravan. Played by Arvind Trivedi. He looked like a bhakta only unlike DKDM's Ravan.
There is something wrong in his portrayal. Hope the director knows what he is making him do.
If this Ravan is mahan bhakta, then Nandi, rishi Dadhichi, Shukracharya will come in Super Mahan category.

One thing about Ravan is he knew how to achieve what he wanted. For him his achievement is more important then the means. Without this obsessive attitude, this Ravan's characterisation would have looked better. Mahadev knows he'll have to answer Parvati, so his boon is with conditions apply😆

I was laughing like hell when Parvati Said..

"ravan tum mahadev ko apne sath kaise lejaa sakte ho"
her looks were super angry.. ones.. but I felt like.. she is saying..

"Tujhe aur koi nahi mila pure dunia main. jo tu mere Swami ko lena chahta hai Moorkh
poore sansaar main kai purush aur kai stree hai tujhe mere swami ke alawa aur koi nai mila "

"Isskaaa Dand tuhjea avashya milega "VINAAASHH"" 😳

U r right.. they should tone down the obsessiveness part..its tending to be funny..and to some extent annoying too...
Like today...why couldn't Ravan have taken the Shiv ling given by Mahadev himself..he said his energy would be in it..!! That Shiv Ling could be the Vaidyanath SL..!! (Is their a story like this?)

But I guess the obssession will go down on Monday when he realises Mahadev has tricked him...!! 😛😆

@Sia, this is Vaidyanath Jyotirling's story. May be it was mentioned in the precap. As per the story, he takes the Shiv ling given by Shivji, not the way it's shown as insisting on taking Shivji himself. Keeping up with the tradition of showing most of the Jyotirling's stories on Monday, let's see how Ravan is fooled & by whom, Ganesh or Vishnuji in disguise.
