Please share wisdom and lessons from DKDM in this thread.
This is a mythological show about revered deity and in every episode there are dialogues that are profound and thoughtful.

Let's just try and collect them here. Any thoughtful quotes that catch your attention in any episode.

The quotes from every character of DKDM serve as life lessons for us (except threat types!).

I apologise in advance if such a thread already existed in past pages of the forum.

But I could not find it so I made this thread.

Rishi Dadhichi- "Disha bhatakana hi disha ko pana hay"

Everyone feels lost at some or other pt. of time in life. At that time we try to find the right path. In search of the right direction we meet some people or come across cirumstances, which guids us & puts us back on the right track.
Nice thread😊

That quote mentioned by Dadhichi is the most important one and since it was right at the begining of DKDM ectched in memory than by Mahadev, "Na samman ka moh, na aapman ka bhai" Both quotes teaches u a lot.

Thanks for responses!

Yes that quote was on my mind too! Disha bhatakna hi disha ko paana hai!

It's always made me ponder for hours whenever I think about it.

Many times Lord Shiva is shown explaining things to His sons when they ask him questions. I do appreciate while watching the episode but the dialogues slip from mind later. Hence I felt we should all gather the wisdom from this show on the forum.

another line from rishi dadhichi, aur jab gantavya hi shiv ho, toh maarg ki kathinaai kaa bhay kaisaa. while someone is on the path to reach god, sometimes the dificulties of the path can scare him or her away, but there is no need to be afraid of them because they are just iliusions.

I'll pull out a rather contrarian, if not controversial lesson, from the current track - particularly Monday April 30 episode. Namely, that I agree w/ Indra's unscrupulous strategy for winning.

Putting aside for a moment what's the authentic story and what ain't, Indra (of DkDM) is right. He's not at a WWF bout where he has to show his strength, nor is he even an IPL (or LPL) cricketer who's trying to win the FairPlay awards. He's the ruler of the devas, and one of his prime responsibilities is to keep the devas safe, even if it means being at the receiving end of opprobrium from others. Note that I'm not discussing Matsyakanya or Trisiras here, I'm discussing Indra's strategy against Jalandhar.

Indra could see that Jalandhar had a huge advantage over him, and that head to head, he'd lose. So what does he do? He has some of his best archers rain missiles over the asuras long range, and use another division to intercept the asura medical supplies. Devious, yes, unscrupulous, certainly, but absolutely brilliant. Indra is executing his responsibilities towards the devas perfectly.

To those puzzled over my views here, it is the duty of leaders to protect their subjects, even if it means getting pilloried by everyone. Take the example of Yudhisthir lying to Drona. By itself, it was petty, but given that he could either do that, or watch his entire army get massacred, Yudhisthir did what he had to, even if it meant spending some time in hell at the end of it all. Similarly, here, Indra could either preside over the destruction of the devas, or pull off any tricks he could to prevent such a situation.

Yeah, Indra would have done well not to have murdered Trisiras & Matsyakanya in the first place. But aside from that, I don't fault him for what he's doing in battle (as per this track).
