New doubt. For Treta Yuga we had a Yugantar. Now Banasura and even KRISHNA has come, why no Dwapara Yugantar?

Maybe because they are still continuing with same Parvati!!😆😆😆

That Yugantar did not make any sense to me, except for above reason😊.

Besides, I am not sure about each yug starting with an avatar of Vishnu. Even the first 'Matsya avatar" appeared at the time of the 'EOW', that is at the time of the Great Flood. Thereafter, all avatars are somewhere in the middle of each Yuga. Am not an authority or scholar - but this is what I have understood.

In any case, DKDM Puran is 'athbhut', kuch bhi ho sakta hai 😃

So are they skipping MB events for Mahadev, such as Mahadev blessing Draupadi in her previous life, Kirata's face-off w/ Arjun, Shiva blessing Gandhari w/ 100 sons, Shiva blessing Jayadrath...

Or will those be shown, and followed by Banasura's war w/ Krishna?

Incidentally, which book has the stories of Bani & Chitralekha?

Bani will be found in Trikon Chalchitra Purana, and Chitralekha in SB.

Was Kartikeya a mediocre warrior as shown in this serial?

He was supposed to be best warrior only second to Shiva and Vishnu himself, after all he is GOD OF WAR himself.

I'll say one thing.

The 'Kartikeya' whom they are showing now is NOT Lord Kartikeya. It s some normal baccha who happens to be Mahadev's son.

This is not Muruga Peruman; and the current Banasura episode (of defeating Muruga) is complete fiction.

dunno whats happening in tis serial...but yeah, kartikeya was supposed to be d best warrior after shiva n vishnu!!!

@surya- kartikeya is muruga peruman! he was mahadev ka son n he genuinely defeated a lot of demons fighting for gods...banasura was one of them!!! in fact it is believed that other than shiva n vishnu...no one could defeat him, not even brahma dev!!!!

I am not saying Kartikeya is different from Muruga, no way. I am saying that DKDMKartikeya is not Lord Kartikeya.

What I meant was, Lord Kartikeya is not being portrayed to his full divinity, his full prowess.

Muruga (yes, I know Muruga and Kartikeya are the same god😆) is the general of the gods, respected by all, gods and asuras alike. Here he is treated like some obstacle which everyone has to cross to reach Swargaloka. And they show him as very helpless when it comes to matters like this, when actually, he has never been helpless EVER.

I didn't mean that Kartikeya was obliged to support Mahadeva. I meant Kartikeya gave his support without question, that too willingly. And Banasura was not so foolish to go and attack Kailash and challenge Muruga to a fight.

Can you specify the Purana where Kartikeya defeats Banasura? Because, going by Srimad Bhagavatam, there is no mention of Banasura even fighting him. Even in the Garga Samhita, while he helps Kamsa a lot, he doesn't personally go fight the gods.

And Kartikeya's relation with his parents...

Well, he is supposed to have as normal a relationship as any child would..

I don't know, maybe this is the North-South version difference. Muruga is the darling of Parvati as far as I know.
