Utkarsh sir said Brahmanda Purana, but according to MnxG (mnx12), she couldn't find any reference to this track there.

I couldn't locate it in any Purana. This story seems to be a combo of myths relate with Aghories, Tantra etc. Where they adopt any mean to get things by going out of the way. It is said that Lord Shiva has locked most of the Mantras to prevent it's misuse. This fiction indicates that. The story is not followed by them of the known version but the pts adopted are definately there in various other scriptures.
