Hmmm... my wife and me have had umpteen fights on the same issue. her constant complaint has been I used to compliment her more before marriage. She likes it if I am present when she does her shringar and I compliment her looks which I don't do. My argument is whats the necessity to time and again assure my love as its not some stock market number to fluctuate each day.
I am not sure if this current track really happened or its just scripted by the CV's. nevetheless I am mighty curious how mahadev is going to deal with this situation which we husbands face. maybe I can take a leaf out of him 😛.

FINALLY.. some one from the other side.. I often felt IF is ruled by women and we don't see much of men's pov 😊
I was smiling when I saw your post.. that is what typically happens. Apart from from the necessity, the fact that she doesn't feel she is important tells you something.I am sure she knows you love her and you haven't changed. But she is not 100% sure she hadn't. The only thing that is constant in a woman's life is her husband. Everything else changes, including herself. Her role playing makes it impossible. She measures everything from your eyes. Atleast that's what I do. I don't care if 30 guest says food is good. I look for the gleaming contended look on my husband's face when he done eating. I love it when he walks up to me and says that was good dinner. I love it when he compliments when I wear a sari. I am not a typical trophy wife with huge accomplishments. But I want my husband to feel so and say so. Even though it is not true.. Complicated huh... LOL.. yes we are.
Coming to the show, there are several puraanas that says Shiva indeed did do her Shringar. He used to put her bindi . Parvathi is also called Nitya Kalyani. She will always look like newly wed bride . The forms that pleases Shiva the most. There was a short story attached to one of vratas. parvathi took out her jewellery one time and was upset with Shiva for some reason. Shiva explained her she doesn't wear them just for herself, but for the sake of the lokaas. She is mother and he is father. If they are upset with each other then the lokaas can't be happy. And he does the Shringaar. He explains the importance of mangal sutra, nose pin, sindhoor, bangles, ear rings, hair pin, toe rings and paayal. Hence married women till this was adorn themselves with these essentials. Some how haldi , kum kum and kajal are lost things in today's shringar.
In Ramayana, when Sita got married to Rama, she was just a teenager and So was Rama. She didn't know how to wear Saari. She used to struggle and Rama used to help her wear a saari. During Vanvaas since she had no mirror, he used to help her get ready every morning. There are lot of gods including Rishis did this.
I am not trying to convince you.. I am sure you know most of these as well..However, I do believe that not just women need to be taken care of. It is a 2 way street. If I want to feel appreciated, I must do the same.
