When you have kids and are lady of the house , lot of things needs to managed. She is a daughter, wife, mother ,owner of the house and a lover. It is her job to maintain all the relationships and make sure every one is felt important. Here Parvathi also is the same. It doesn't matter if you are adishakti at the end of the day you are one of these characters you play. She will play it to the core. So that it becomes an example to the world.
In all this, she is lost.. her essence is lost. She remembers it when she sees him. She craves for his attention. After all all these relationships are due the fact she is his WIFE.. taking care of everything buries the very relationship between husband and wife. Often times, I notice, when me and my husband are talking, it is always about kids, or house or college fees or bill somewhere or taking care of in-laws. Where are we in all this? Granted we are not newly weds , I am not even looking romance, I am looking for loving words. Also think about it.. playing all these roles the lover role got away from her. When is the last time both of they sat down and played a game of dice or went for a walk or even danced together.
Parvathi has attained the midlife in this relationship. Does it matter to Shiva that she is not well adorned? Did he even notice? It doesn't matter to him or am I not beautiful any more? Does he not find me attractive any more? I know he loves me or Does he? Why can't he tell me how much he loves me once in a while? Every once in a while couples need to renew their relationship. The renewal of intimacy, energy and eternal love. Remind each other what they mean to each other. Wife needs to hear and feel husband's love. That's where she derives her energy to play the numerous roles. A smile from him, a hug from him and remember actions speak louder than words.. 😊. What makes a husband more happy than to see his loving wife smiling and happy. After all he is happy only when she is happy.
Parvathi being soundarya moorthy she is and Shiva being the ananda moorthy he is.. this divine shringara is captured in the Soundarya Lahari written by Adi Shankara himself.
I am ranting now.. but I just loved the fact when even supreme deities are not spared of the maya moha of the samsara. Just lets one know, how difficult it is to attain salvation..
